im using dvd-rw and when i record and after i put dvd in computer it says dvd is empty and i finalized the one disk even though its rw and it worked so i dont know why it wont show up? Some help please

Try using a Sony DVD, or see if you need to format it for the recorder.

The recorder should do it by itself; sometimes it'll ask you, or you have to go into a menu and find an option that says something like "Format" and that should make it useable.

With the disc you want to use, you should be able to go into the menu and select an option that says something along the lines of "Finalize".
