If this helps,

ALL TRIANGLES always total 180 degrees. If it makes sense to you, always know that your 3 angles have to add up to 180 degrees.

She is using the angles from both drawings to find the missing number in both.

41 degree is the same on both

87 degree is the same on both

add those together, and calculate to get 180, and THATS your missing numbah!
