One has very fine attention to detail, and the other is ready for the track with hardly a mod. Nice to see both cars, but this is an apples and oranges comparison. i got an r8 and i would NEVER give it away for a Ferrari , drives much better than i thought it would , its an amazing car, i love it.to me its the best car under 200k, but we live in a world of opinions , my brother for example would never trade his aston for a Bugatti (which in my opinion is just being daft ;) ... as i always though he was ) , all have our own preferences .

I will guarantee anyone that they would prefer the R8 to the Scuderia for everyday use. Try driving the Ferrari for 300 miles straight. It would be loud, the ride would be hard, it would be hot, there would be no radio. It would be no good at all. Of course the Ferrari is better on a track; it's way lighter.

@josevaldizan The power per liter isn't important on a street car and the larger motor doesn't work as hard theoretically lasting longer & needing less service. In my book, that is desirable in a street car. If engine size is limited like in racing classes power per liter is all important but in a street car it becomes a liability at a certain point. To race I would take the Ferrari in a heartbeat but for a hot, regularly driven street car, I would take the Audi in a heartbeat.

@josevaldizan well, audi has more interior features, better speakers, etc, so that makes it much heavier. ferrari is a car built much lighter without all of those interior features, so that's why it keeps up. but keep in mind that ferrari is a car that is almost twice as much in cost but has the same acceleration

The Scuderia is stripped. no radio, a/c leather seats, electric windows, carpets, doorhandels, ect. The audi is loaded with luxury equipment. im suprised the ferrari is so slow.

I disagree that the Ferrari has been stripped down to the pure essence of a super car. A true super car should have a fully manual transmission where you actually have to shift gears. Also preferably rear wheel drive. Neither of these cars are true super cars. One isn't because of AWD and one isn't because of a paddle shift tranny.

But the scuderia feels more precise when driving then the r8. The feeling is completly different.
