I knew about Akitas coming in a long-hair variety [I met one at an ice cream place a few years back; he was beautiful!] but I've never seen a long-haired shiba! He's so darn fluffy, I just want to reach through the computer screen and snuggle with him!
Yep, totally purebred this lil fella. Its rare, but some shiba pups are born with long hair those pups are normally never bred because long hair was not preferred in the breed.

yep. he's a pure-bred. it just so happens you get a long-hair every once in a blue moon. Not sure why that happens, but it does.
