  • Wana go fast buy a Eldebrock wana go faster buy a Demon. My 66 Nova ran damn good with a 750 Eldebrock at the drags. Better then a Holly anyday. went to a 980 Demon cause i had $4,000 heads on my car, and 13:1 compression. But as far as a 200+450 hp engine it will run and be fine. Im so tired of people puting these carburators down. My friends Blower motor runs 9:80 in the quarter with 2 eldebrock carbs so try to put it down.

  • @woodzo40 holleys and demons are the same pretty much. i ran an edelbrock on my car for a long time because i could not afford a holley. as soon as i bought a holley it came alive and had WAY more power

  • Mine flooded out on my 351 modified all the time. It ran great for about a year and was easy to tune but then my floats got stuck. From what i hear too you really cant fine tune these carbs and the parts wear out quick. I dont know how true that is but from my experience i liked it just because they were so easy to work on. I just moved on to pontian stuff and and pontiac guys swear against these carbs and will tell you quadrajets are ten times better and make more power.

  • does that carb work good on the engine?? i had a lot of people tellin me not to use it because it wouldnt set right or would flood it out but it seems to do good on that one you got there.

  • @jimmyman1991 it worked great man, i could have gotten more power if i could have afforded 4V heads for the cleveland but the 4bbl carb never gave me any problems

  • big difference huh..... what did u put this carb. on? I just bought one for my car and cant wait to find out.

  • @xcrunnerboy its definitley better than the stock carb, i think i gave it more credit than what it deserved though lol i didnt really get the full potential of the carb since i had to use an adapter plate, it was a nice mod, but ive moved on to a faster car :P

  • hi am new in car modificatioin and that staff, but i like to know:

    1. are you only modifided your car in this vid with edelbrock car ( imean , arent there are modification... heders, fuel reguleator, intake.. etc...)?

    2. how much does this carb cost?

    3. if i want to modified my car with only this carb isit enough or i must adust more modificastion an so on.....?

    i waiting for your respond..

    with regards.

  • @ewothedeath

    2. it will cost you about 2000 Dirhams

    3. its not enough, you have to add other part to the engine if you wont to get a full benefit of this Carb , for example you have to change the camshaft to increase the fuel flow & air,you need bigger intake manifold, also you have to modify the electricity...etc

this Edelbrock 600 is a big carburetor, it will not be good for daily use .

  • This is the same casting as the old carter afb! I put one on my Honda.

  • ok plezz someone answer this is a single-quad carb. a 4 bbl carb?

  • @ryansap yeah, it's 4 barrels.

  • what part do you need to hook the automatic Kickdown??

  • great sound.

  • Edelbrock rocks, too bad there community Forum sucks.

  • damn...I love the carbs and must say i don't know much, but all engine power has the best sound!

  • i have one to i just dont kno where to put the time vacume hose

  • edebrock is easy. if you have an automatic,,it goes on the right,,if its a manual on the left.

  • thanks but where does it go from the right its an automatic

  • i have a 79 chevy same carb nd i dont kno how to adjust it

  • i wanna install one in my nova, would you recomend it? and how much more HP can i expect?

  • i just bought an edelbrock 600 and a performer intake for dad's torino (was a 289 now a 351w) but it's all still in the boxes waiting to go on. i've heard from reliable ppl that these edl 600's are the way to go short of an expensive efi getup. old friend swears by them says he'll never go holley again. is it working good for you? did it take much to set it up?

  • im putting one in my 77 chevy k5 blazer

  • Nice carb, you should do another 0 to 80 run! Maybe this time 0 to 90! Yah?

  • Its a good carb, that's whats on my 72 pickup

  • do you have to tune the carb much when u put it on? when you get it does it give you directions?
