fuel is back together and playing their first concert in philly pa at the mmrbq concert, line up is the original jeff abercrombie, kevin miller, carl bell, and the one and only brett scallions
sorry to agree with every other basher but brett brought the songs to life, even brett half shot is better than toryn. he has no personality and his performance is so medocre its not even funny, im deadly serious....steven seagal's acting is less wooden. LONG LIVE BRETT, carl bell is a control freak and should swallow his pride and bring the real fuel back!!!!!!
Brett still can sing. I dont care. I listen to this and the actaul song and at points he hits the notes just like he did in the actual song. Now how many singers can actually do that? Adam Gontier from Three Days Grace is a prime example of why the recording studio is screwin with people's voices. And Brett still has his voice. And i just wish he was still with Fuel and not that Toryn Green.
This was Fall 2003, recorded in Seattle. VH1 showed this just before the release of 'Natural Selection', released Sept. 23, 2003. This was the first tour since the Something Like Human tour when Brett collided with Carl Bells guitar on stage and broke his nose, resulting in a deviated septum. This had to be one of the first, if not the first, live performance since surgery.. Still has the passion and kicks Toryn's ass
Even though he struggles with his airflow and everything Brett can still sing obviously, isn't this video right before he part with the band? Meaning after he had the surgery? So he still did pretty good.
My voice hurts just watching this. Such a difficult song to sing live. Kudos, Mr. Scallions.

No Carl, no Jeff, no kevin. Just Brett, and some members he dealt with in Refueled.

@royalty890
You sure? I heard Carl and Brett had set aside their differences to play again. Maybe I am wrong but where did you here it was just Brett?

Carl and Jeff got into a legal dispute, when Toryn was in the band.

I think this was the same year he got his surgery. So he left the band about 2 or 3 years later I think.

Thanks I agree with you on the fact that I would rather here Brett struggle than to here Toryn's gay ass voice.

No shit. Check out the version from Anaheim with Toryn Green.

That guy's voice is annoying... I'd rather hear Brett struggle than listen to Toryn Green.
