I'm currently using the Brumak to hike up the kill tally, but here's a slightly different method I saw in a different video: load the checkpoint before rounding the corner leading to the first set of doors. By killing the two large groups immediately visible at the start and shooting down the Reavers, then loading the checkpoint, I got 10000 kills in a little over an hour.

If you're going to do it the legit way and not cheat (haha), you can actually go to the level in the first chapter during your fight on the driller and use the turret to shoot the numerous amount of Locust that swarm out of the holes.

First chapter, second or third act.
