  • you should get money for this

  • I will but i now

  • Please answer me:

The wheel dingoo roms super nintendo classics perfectly? like mario, donkey kong, sonic, bomberman, asterix and obelix ... etc??

I am looking to buy one, but only for Super Nintendo, so I need to know if it does the job ...

I thank you and await response ....

  • @teuliveinrio Well, the native emulator (comes with the dingoo) is shit....

But the dingux one (have to install it and takes some doing) is great! Almost perfect, only not so good with tv-out (cuz you can't overclock) but on dingux you should run all your games greatly!

  • Can I use the av out permanetly even after I turn it off and on?

  • widescreen support?

  • Dude you sound like evilDragon, are you evilDragon?

  • you know you can adjust the aspect ratio right?

  • can someone simply tell me if this thing is worth buying, i have wanted to get this for so long but i dont want to be ripped off

  • @wwereaper Well, if you are sticking with the native firmware, then, no, not really, only good for GBA, and maybe some multimedia.....

However, if you intend to install dingux, then it's a whole different story! Buy it! Great apps ranging from emus to ports of PC games like doom and duke nukem.... Great community support... Overall awesome little device! And seeing how cheap it is ("rivals" like GP2x and pandora are at least twice as expensive) then it really is worth it!

  • man, you suck at street fighter.

  • jxd is better.

  • The Best GBA Emulator Ever

  • @yxuz Since when did Borat talk with a German accent?

  • ähhmmmmm ähmmmmmm ^^^^ i like it =) ähmmmm

  • Lol that menu is a fucking rip-off of the PSP's XMB.

  • @DvT093 the design is looks also very similar to the gameboy micro

  • Is the quality good?

  • got a dingoo myself. quality on a 42" screen is *terrible*. nice review though. I also had problems with playing back one of those 700mb xvidencodes (audio 2ch 128kbps mp3, 885kbps video 23.976fps at 608x320) - simply too choppy and quality is so degraded it would be better to re-encode stuff to fit the dingo specs. takes ~20min tops on a modern machine

  • @xliafx

Anything connected by composite video to a bigscreen lcd is goint to look terrible, not only the Dingoo.

CRT is the way to go for the Dingo's TV out :D

  • I love how its so PSP/PS3ish.

You pulled off hurricane kick, but how responsive is it for fighting games (or any game in general)?

  • cabeza de pene regalamelo

  • are there any players in Dingux that actually support subtitles?

  • Lol. Thunderbirds. You rawk.

  • I love my dingoo but just tonight I was loading up a game and it crashed and the screen froze. I cant turn it off and theres no battery to remove power supply. HELP!!!!

  • on the left side use a pen to hit the 'Reset' Button hole, you keep all your stuff it just restarts

  • this is great for my old 14" crt tv.

  • Can you hook it up with another Dingoo to play 2 player games with a friend?

  • no.

  • Do you have to convert video before transferring it to the Dingoo?

  • Nope, it will play most formats. ^__^

  • @NYPerson87 na

  • @NYPerson87 just throw video files on the dingoo and dingoo will do his job.no convert

  • Nice, but I hate your "amm" all the time.

  • könte echt so schön sein wenn mich einer vor dem allein sein rettet!

  • thunderbirds scare the shit out of me

  • SHUT UP

  • if you put a high quality video on the dingoo it will be displayed in lower quality to fit the dingoo screen but will it be displayed in the actual quality of the video on a tv? you know what im saying?

  • where's the sound :0(

  • lol? there is Audio, but is low, because he is explinin g the advantages of the Dingoo

  • What's wrong with your fingers? Not able to type it out yourself, you fat lazy fuck? Go to Ebay yourself, and type it!

  • how do i get dingux on a dingoo? i want to get it on mine.

  • Google or

    watch?v=jNvJQuDfoE0

  • It will increase battery life. The LCD and speakers on the Dingoo consumes more power than the audio and video out.

  • were u get the cable

  • The audio/video cable, the headphones and the battery charger are all included with the Dingoo system.

  • want.

  • does it emulate games like the arcade Mortal kombat 1,2,3 ?

  • yup :)

  • there is no sound ?

  • x2 ??

  • hardcore-gamer aqui la tienen

  • OMG I WANT

  • do you have to convert all the videos to 320x480 in order for it to work?

  • i heard that it resizes videos automaticly

  • pretty good

  • What movie was that?

  • Wanted (2008)

  • Ive seen these with custom backgrounds could you make a vid on that

  • Muito Bom este Dingoo estou querendo um...

  • The sound does come out of the TV right? After you hook it that is.

  • ! it can even ope .zip!

  • lol

  • can this connect to a traditional cathode ray TV ?

  • 1 word for this comment, IDIOT

  • Well, I'm sold. I got a website where I have access to a TON of movies, tv shows, and cartoons. With the 4GB of internal memory and 2GB from an SD card, I can take my video files on the go and even watch them on TV after I download them. AWESOME! Not to mention the emulators, which I already have games for. MP3 player is nice too. How is the internet browser on it?

  • I heard its able to emulate NEO GEO games too!!

Someone allready played Metal Slug on it??

  • How helpful, we have the same tv sets!

  • good review here.

  • the genesis emulator is good

it's the more important to me

    because i love sonic

  • Sonic is somewhat difficult: fast genesis games suffer from a screen distortion and sonic 2 seems not to have sound on the dingoo.

  • @EvilOverlord42 I know your comment was posted a year ago, but there are now third party emulators available which are apparently an improvement over the inbuilt Genesis/Megadrive emulator. There are now also wireless controllers available for playing games on your TV.

  • @Kingjx If you have dingux you can use picodrive wich is borderline perfect on megadrive/genesis

  • hey man could post a video, it can be small even running a. RMVB?

    thanks

  • mmh..rmvbs just run like any other video, there is no real difference.

  • thx..

  • It could be faster but it's unlikely. Emulating it is very hard to do, and there are so many games that can not be played at all

because they use a special chip.

Still, I think the video player alone justifies buying this. iPods can only play .mp4 files made for it, but this can play pretty much anything except HD videos.

  • so, the snes emulator could be more fast?

  • When the manufacturer releases a new version of the emulator it *may* be faster, but who knows. Fact is, the NEO GEO and CPS1/2 emulation runs pretty musch 100% as well as the GBA. So I think the hardware could do 100% speed on the SNES and the emulator is just crappy.

  • You must be joking!?! Neither NEO GEO nor CPS1 nor CPS2 are even close to 100%, GBA isn't either. If you want to see how slow they are, disable auto frameskip and set frame skip to 0. The hardware is fast enough to emulate 8-bit systems like the NES, but that's it. Even IF they update the emulators in the future, there's not much room to improve SNES emulation.

  • mmh..you will never get a 100% accurate experience on an emulator. The NEOGEO and CPS1/2 emus run very slick and the pure gaming experience is good - as much fun as the original from my point of view. The GBA emu works flawlessly for 80% of the games. Neither of the emus are rendering without frameskip, but that's not the point: the gaming experience must be satisfying.

  • @EvilOverlord42 - Look at the Pandora Handheld; perfect.

  • @Steelzmeister Perfect.... And three times the price xD

Really people compare the dingoo to the pandora and the GP2x, but it's like comparing an iPad to a budget netbook, it's just not fair to compare something that cheap to something twice the price!

  • could be downloaded update the emulator on the dingoo?

  • Yes, the emulators are on the flash disk and can be upgraded (even without upgrading the firmware, which is also possible).

  • BTW, does the resolution of TV output equals 320x240 pixels? Can videos be adjusted to be output to 640x480 pixels resolution?

  • I suppose the output is 320x240 equivalent composite. Someone with more knowledge in signal processing should check that, though.

  • Thank you! And what is in the settings section in Television menu?

  • A switch to select between NTSC and PAL and a selector for 4:3 or 16:9 aspect.

  • Ummm... And... Ummm.... :)))

Thank you for these reviews anyway!
