I agree. Allison and Kris are my favorites. They have the best voices. Although this week wasnt really for Kris and Danny. Danny bores me. But i love Kris he's very lifehouse. His voice is so rich and soothing. He's the most current among the three left.
I was rooting for Kris since the top 13....He really deserved this. I'm thrilled. I agree that Allison is probably the closest to Kris's level of brilliance in in interpretation, phrasing, and really connecting emotionally to a song. I didnt feel that from the others. Uh yeah, I've heard Aerosmith's version of the song. It's not supposed to be anything like how that kid did it. I'm assuming you're very young, since you asked "have you heard the real version of the song he sang?" lol. Anyone over the age of say, 18 or 19 would be hard-pressed NOT to have heard the original version of the song.
It's funny because to older folk like myself, who basically grew up with the song, it's as if you have no idea who Aerosmith is. Which, to people who have grown up with them, is mind-boggling. I am a fan of your recaps. That's nice and fair. Just don't call those high notes by Adam as screaming. He has a powerful voice and he has different songs for different tastes. This kid is a fast learner and there were less high notes in his rock song as Slash asked him. He is a fast learner and I am sure you will buy one of his albums someday!!!! :)

First of all, Danny was nervous as hell on that stage, didn't you see how much he was sweating? Not only did he pick the wrong song, he was paired with Kris (who has he worst vocals in history) while Allison and Adam left everyone else in the dust. It was wasn't fair. There was already something a little off about Danny; he wasn't his usual humble self. When he sang that note yes, it was painful, but at least he tried. The duet was his only savior, I'm afraid. Kris will be gone tonight.

No, you got it all wrong. Danny was encouraging Kris the entire time to amp up his vocals, but instead Kris sang too softly, his voice was a mess and he was drowned out by the guitar. Kris *does* have the worst vocals--don't lie to yourself, dude. This is how I rank each singer in terms of vocal strengths:

3. Allison

i agree... adam and allison were so much in sync but with danny and kris, there were times kris was facing danny and danny was facing the audience. their movement were all over the place....and frankly the performance seemed a bit lazy...like 2 drunk middle-aged dad's reliving their teenage dream of being rockstars...
I think KRis did a whole lot better than Danny (Simon s wrong..he should nothave said anything until after danny's performance) Kris made the song fit him...Danny tried to hard to fit himself in that song.

People seem to forget that Adam and Allison are BOTH ALREADY PROFESSIONALS.
Danny and Kris are not professionals. The original idea of Idol was to find NON-PROFESSIONALS. That means people like You, Danny and Kris.
Allison has already won a TV singing competition and it is even on youtube. She won and she already won a recording contract and $50,000 dollars.
Adam's job IS working as a professional singer and stage performer.

Is it just me or does Danny Gokey seem like a closet A**hole! he seems like a sweet church boy but when he talks back to Simon it seems like the devil is itching to come out.

I don't get the judges tonight. They told Kris that he's trying way too hard but gave an A+ to Danny for "valiant effort"? Am I the only one who thinks Danny was the one who tried way too hard to be a rocker?

well like i said the last time u cant expect danny to BE a rocker. have u heard the real version of the song he sang? maybe the scream is suppose to be like that. i kno rock isnt danny's style but i mean he has an amazing voice! so does kris but isnt like danny's and adam changes nearly EVERY song to a rock song. hello! its not a rock song adam yet everyone still likes him but adam is still good. i honestly believe danny is gonna win

Uh yeah, I've heard Aerosmith's version of the song. It's not supposed to be anything like how that kid did it. I'm assuming you're very young, since you asked "have you heard the real version of the song he sang?" lol. Anyone over the age of say, 18 or 19 would be hard-pressed NOT to have heard the original version of the song.

It's funny because to older folk like myself, who basically grew up with the song, it's as if you have no idea who Aerosmith is. Which, to people who have grown up with them, is mind-boggling. Your generation is all N'sync and Backstreet Boys and Brittany Spears, which is hilarious in and of itself.

Adam and Allison ROCKED!! Loved their solo and duet. There was so much chemistry! Kris & Danny's duet was so uncomfortable. My hope for the Top 3 is Adam, Allison and Kris.

Thank you for noticing Allison pronunciaton problems. I know Adam tried to help Allison, but she could be going home tonight. Kris might get the sympathy vote, for having to put up with Danny "I'm all that" Gokey. Danny didn't want to sing with Kris and was very obvious about it. Who did Danny want to sing with, I hope not Adam. That would have been a disaster, because it would be apparent, Adam could out sing Danny without trying.

I felt bad for Danny too, but he need to go home today, not because of the scream but because he's least talented in music. (Obvious a lot of people disagree with me.... Maybe they saw something in Danny that I didn't see.) Whatever, I'm convinced that he doesn't deserve a Top 3 spot. AKA FTW!

hey i like Kara!! the girl is fun!...Im a big Allison Fan but i was expecting something Crazy hot from her and i didn't get it...it was just ok but she's my girl and i hope she make it to the finals...Allison and Adam duet was perfect!..Kris was boring as always, Adam was great, and danny he gave us the worst performance of the season!!! and that includes performances by Lil Rounds and Michael sarver!!

I am a fan of your recaps. That's nice and fair. Just don't call those high notes by Adam as screaming. He has a powerful voice and he has different songs for different tastes. This kid is a fast learner and there were less high notes in his rock song as Slash asked him. He is a fast learner and I am sure you will buy one of his albums someday!!!! :)

First of all, Danny was nervous as hell on that stage, didn't you see how much he was sweating? Not only did he pick the wrong song, he was paired with Kris (who has he worst vocals in history) while Allison and Adam left everyone else in the dust. It was wasn't fair. There was already something a little off about Danny; he wasn't his usual humble self. When he sang that note yes, it was painful, but at least he tried. The duet was his only savior, I'm afraid. Kris will be gone tonight.

kris does NOT have d worst vocal. he's just in a diff range. look @ d charts, there r so many artists with his range im talking james morrison, john mayer, coldplay.kris is d smartest @ song choice

No, you got it all wrong. Danny was encouraging Kris the entire time to amp up his vocals, but instead Kris sang too softly, his voice was a mess and he was drowned out by the guitar. Kris *does* have the worst vocals--don't lie to yourself, dude. This is how I rank each singer in terms of vocal strengths:
1. Adam
2. Danny
3. Allison
4. Kris
If I'm correct, Kris is a goner. He should have been sent home weeks ago anyways.

its a freaking duet...u dont "encourage" during a duet performance...thats what rehersal is for... u dont come out on stage and try to put ur co-singer in the background... if it wasnt danny, i wud say it was sabotage.
kris has a better chance at a recording deal than danny, although i personally prefare danny's voice....but that is the TRUTH..... "DUDE"

totally...in a duet there has to be mutual respect for each other and adam gave that respect to allison....we all know he could have gone crrrraaaaaaaaaazzzzyyyyyy on that song, but he pulled it back and gave allison props during the performance.
now agreed kris had a few pitch off jey moments in the duet but my goodness danny rili upset when he did that

LOVED adam (im a huge zeppelin fan and surprised that he is..he s too young!) i thought allisons was ok but pitchy here and there. i thought the duets were STUPID too. esp danny and kris. but i guess they had no choice but to pair them together after rockers adam and allison. my jaw dropped when i heard dannys scream during rehearsal with slash and then again live. EW. and he clapped for himself for THAT? i think he should go too. did you see slash laughing after his critique of danny?

danny gokey screamed and the stage came falling down, including the director....once more, its danny's fault that disaster struck... they should send him her medical bill

i agree... adam and allison were so much in sync but with danny and kris, there were times kris was facing danny and danny was facing the audience. their movement were all over the place....and frankly the performance seemed a bit lazy...like 2 drunk middle-aged dad's reliving their teenage dream of being rockstars...

I think KRis did a whole lot better than Danny (Simon s wrong..he should nothave said anything until after danny's performance) Kris made the song fit him...Danny tried to hard to fit himself in that song.

i think kris was put in a bad position last nite. after that sync-less performance with danny (and simon said danny was better) he had 2 come out & do his own performance. but with adam & allison, they did their own performances & got it out of D way b4 their duet. anyway, i still thot kris was brilliant! loved that song. and he was kris, he didnt try 2 be a rockstar or someone he wasnt. he put his own stamp & i thot he was better than danny & allison. anythin was better than danny last nite OMG
