Which Larrivee would be most suitable for both fingerstyle and picking/strumming? I currently own an LV-09 and would like to upgrade to a higher-grade Larrivee this year.
I just ordered and received an LSV 11 and absolutely love it. It may feel smaller because it is so light, and may take some getting used to, but the 1 13/16 inch nut width is fantastic!!! Can't find a better made guitar anywhere...and the sound of the LSV 11 is out of sight!!!
I only would trade local and I don't have an LSV-11 in stock right now. It's real hard to describe sound. As far as how they sit in the lap, I'm just not sure. Maybe you could get some idea from how I'm sitting when I play these models in the videos.
My 'average hands' work 'ok' for me on my SD-50. I'm more curious about the difference in sound - and does the LSV-11 'feel' much smaller in the lap when playing ? Do you accept trades ?
They are much different. You've got to have big hands to play the SD-50. I have very small hands and it hurts me to play the SD-50. The LSV-11 is rosewood. You can see all the stats at the Larrivee site. Thanks for watching.
I wonder if they make a left handed model of this guitar? i was amazed that Larrivée made more than just one or two lefty models and it pushed me to buy one.
I never really thought about this. It's a standard folk tune (Shenendoah) in C and it's a quick arrangement. c-am-fmaj7(at the 5th fret, em7 in root position...

@mattmaes the L size is very versatile. You may want to try the rosewood 10 in an L size.

Hi Josh, thanks for the post.
I have a Larrivee SD-50 - like the one you present in another video.
I am a finger style player. So since you have played both, can you compare the LSV-11 to the SD-50 please ?
thanks so much -

Hi Josh. I was wondering if you have the chord progression of the piece that you are playing in the beginning? Its very gentle. John

I am also interested in the little tune you are playing at the beginning. What is it called?

That's a quick arrangement of the standard folk tune Shenendoah in C, standard tuning.
