  • Unrelated, but you may want to credit Kevin MacLeod from incompetech for the awesome intro music

  • Lame!

  • wht music is your intro?

  • i tried it at one of my 720p vids and it made i 360p??? i allso tried &fmt=18 but it just changed to 480p

    wtf. CAN I HAZ HELP?!

  • you said : "MFT instead of FMT" in the video :D

  • Quite suprised. I have my older laptop from 2006, running integrated 128MB ATI video chipset, and it plays 1080p flawlessly!

  • I tried the &fmt=37 on another youtube page and it didn't work :'( it only worked for the &fmt=18 format. Help!!!

  • DUDE A VIDEO OF A VIDEO OF A VIDEO

  • @Pandastargalaxy hah lol

  • LOL Farmville is lame! -.-'

  • hahah i just saw it

  • ok!

  • wow. I just did the &fmt=37 "magic" trick and it only made it 460p - wait. Do you need to upload it HD too?

  • yes it has to be hd, obviously, you can't magically transform 480p into 1080p

  • &fmt=18

  • did you do anything special to make it 1080p? i uploaded a 1920x1080 video at 15,000 kbps and its only showing the regular hd button, i just posted it do i have to wait for it to update to 1080p or is 1080p broken for some users

  • @Acer0c It is probably already 1080p, if you uploaded a 1080p video, it will on show the HD button when your logged in because it does it in full HD automatically. So you're viewing it 1080p already. If you wanna see the 1080p button, log out and then watch it.

  • ya i found that out after reading some fourms, thanks for replying anyway though =)

  • Hmm, for fun I might try uploading a 1080p vid as a test, but i don't think it will be my primary upload format as alot of people still don't have fast enough internet and it would just result in laggier video. Good upgrade tho. I would just prefer my videos playing optimally on most computers while still looking decent.

  • So, if this video works on my computer, then its my monitor is 1080p high definition?

  • No, it works on any PC, but is only "EFFECTIVE" if you have a 1080p Monitor, i.e a 1920 x 1080 resolution

  • my monitor is 1280x800, does that mean its 720p?

  • @TheMoeStudio Well 720p is 1280 x 720 so yeah, you can view full 720p

  • I just uploaded a vido in 1080p and it really does look a lot better then 720p

  • for all people who experienced lags while watching full HD videos on youtube... visit this site and follow the 3 steps.

    nvidia [DOT] com/object/adobe_flashplayer_plus_nvidia.html

the newest beta drivers and beta flashplayer have GPU support for nvidia graphic processors. install it and you can run Full HD flash videos on computers with a weak CPU.

  • When i upload a HD video in resolution 1920 x 1080 i cant select 720 / 1080 , i have only HD button.

    Any 1 can help ?

  • If you're signed in it makes it 1080p automatically for you. If it's you're video only.

  • @STFilmy its got to be .mp4 not .wmv if thats the case lol

  • I've had no issues uploading WMV to youtube in HD 720, havn't tried 1080p yet, but all my videos I've uploaded have always been flawless, load fast, and arn't unsynced like some .mov/.avi uploads I've done.

  • i got a high def moniter 1080p crystal clear

  • i am yet to find a computer that runs the 1080p videos without aload of buffering pauses -.-

  • 720p is choppy and unwatchable.... what makes them think that 1080p will run BETTER?!?!

I have tried over a dozen different computer setups... all of them failed to reach full frame rate using 720p....

its the flash plugin... a total piece of shit.

  • hmm... so if you render a video at 1920x1080 it is 1080p, but also gives you the option on youtube to watch at 720p for slower computers?

  • i think the highest my comp goes is 1440x900

  • Your operating system is a Mac wannabe.

  • lol

  • Nope it isn't they're both good in their own ways.

  • mine runs fune on a 3yr old comp

  • Takes forever 2 load.

  • "heych d" lmfao

    LOL @ facebook farmville xD

  • lmfao, still looks like shit

  • how come you have the option of 1080and 720? other HD videos don't have that option

  • @forthenguyen Those are 720p, if videos are in 1080p they will see two options 720p and 1080p

  • i assume that youtube understood that some people still have old computers wich can't play 1080 yet - some people have old computers wich causes the 1080p videos to lag for them wich is why youtube has added the option to play 720p

thats the only logical option i can think of - becose thats most likely why they did that

  • This is just a waste. I can't even tell a difference between 720p and 1080p when fullscreened or sized down.

  • This video is originally 720p I stretched it to be 1080p so people can test the code. The code is not needed now, but anyway 1080p has more pixels 1080 Pixels, 720p has less obviously 720 Pixels

  • Ummmm..... I think your a little confused 720 p=1280x720 and 1080p=1920x1080

The "P" stands for progressive scan

  • I know what it means, it's just kinda hard to make sense in the explanation.

  • Thats because your display might not be able to display 1080p

  • hehehehe u said and MFT :P

  • LoL, just realized myself, thanks for pointing it out.

  • you don't need to add &fmt=37 anymore, the have changed the player automatically for 1080p videos

  • Yep

  • theres black boxes on my video

  • Need to record in Widescreen Format 16:9

  • I've recorded mine in 16:9 1920x1080 and it still seems to just go in HD. (This is after weeks now, so it isn't still processing).

    I'm confused.

  • @salsabil18 It is actually common for raising resolutions to actually make the quality appear worse, it all has to do with how the video was originally captured and uploaded. If it wasn't captured and uploaded in 1080p, then watching the video in 1080p will just "stretch" the picture, causing a worse appearance in quality.

  • wow what a rip off of PCWizKids, cmon dude be original

  • Are you sure about that, check out my videos first.

  • i meant the name and the simpsons cartoon

  • @HumanOFtheWeek3000

Who cares? PCWizKid is much more famous, and who says he got the idea from him, he might of thought of it and liked it.

  • Whats the difference ? it looks the same :P

  • Higher Resolution 1280x720

1920x1080 more pixels more quality picture.

  • are you sure about that ? Because for some reason the quality looks worser than before !

  • I do mention it in the description if you would look, I recorded at 720 I just wanted you to test the 1080p(&fmt=37) on this video just as a test. It stretches because it is only 720.

  • Nice theme wat is it? and cool video

  • Stay Tuned

  • Sweet!

  • Using Safari in windows is pointless when Chrome exists...

  • That's Firefox I'm using.

  • Sorry :) , it , looked like safari. Firefox FTW

  • thanks

  • can u do a video on how to make an intro like yours?

  • There in no point in 1080p lol because it takes ages for the video to load lol! :D

    Good Video! *****

  • Yeah I agree.

  • yup so do I

  • Pointless to most, but its nice to have the option, nonetheless

  • agreed
