Domesticated house cats typically do not act like that. My parents have an older female cat who can be real hell on wheels if your irritate her but if you simply come up to her and pet her she doesn't violently attack you like that. This man should be commended for having the heart and the patience to put up with an animal of that temperment for an extended period of time.

My folks claimed they had a cat that was like that, Charlie. Inbreeding involved, apparently. They keeping saying she was meaner than hell unless she was in heat. She had a sibling that was exactly the same way, another that would hide in his owner's basement and jump on people from the rafters, and another that walked backwards everywhere.....And this is why you get them fixed, folks.

You should always show cats the palm of your hands first before approaching them. That way they see you as harmless and can smell you. Cats sense wether they are loved unconditionally or not. An already uncomfortably nervous cat viewing a hand rising above its head will react aggressively to that because it'll see it as a threat.Hard to believe that this cat was never abused...All my simpathies to the cat, not the cameraman.
Some cats are naturally drawn to just one person and aggressive to others. It doesn't mean that abuse played a role in their development. I really do think that your assumptions about the owner are unfounded, unfair and off base. If you've been around enough cats, you'd know that they all have different personalities. You can't generalize and assume that all cats are sociable and outgoing.

I have two very fat siamese of about 7 or 8 years old and they are not mean at all unless you tease them. I have never seen them act like that though.

Actually, my big fat 20 pound kitty,(yes, 20 pounds)Is very sweet and lovable. He scarred me when he scratched me a while ago, but it wasn't his fault, he got scared lol. Beeny295 & Lory73...you two are stupid! There is obviously a long standing relationship with the owner & Cat, thus aproching it with palmed hand is N/A. The owner is doing nothing wrong, he's just petting his crazy cat, and not even getting agry with it's attacks. Maybe it was abused before being with him...or maybe it's always been that way. I know I've had one cat that was crazy since birh...sometimes that's just the way it is.

My folks claimed they had a cat that was like that, Charlie. Inbreeding involved, apparently. They keeping saying she was meaner than hell unless she was in heat. She had a sibling that was exactly the same way, another that would hide in his owner's basement and jump on people from the rafters, and another that walked backwards everywhere.....And this is why you get them fixed, folks.

i feel sorry for that cat i hav no simpathy for the camera man if the get has its ears flat and growls at u u put ur hand out flat and let the cat sniff it u shouldnt put ur hand above the cats head level thats intimidating for all animals show the cat lots of love! she will stop being so agressive but dont think she will stop suddenly it might take a bit of time!

You should always show cats the palm of your hands first before approaching them. That way they see you as harmless and can smell you. Cats sense wether they are loved unconditionally or not. An already uncomfortably nervous cat viewing a hand rising above its head will react aggressively to that because it'll see it as a threat.Hard to believe that this cat was never abused...All my simpathies to the cat, not the cameraman.

Some cats are naturally drawn to just one person and aggressive to others. It doesn't mean that abuse played a role in their development. I really do think that your assumptions about the owner are unfounded, unfair and off base. If you've been around enough cats, you'd know that they all have different personalities. You can't generalize and assume that all cats are sociable and outgoing.
