the 8 slots are what make it challenging.. in games like wow, each profession uses the same skills and everyone does the same excact things in pvp, in gw, there are hundreds of skills and infinate variations. the fact that your can only choose 8 of the hundreds is where the skill comes in. The LM is probably the best class for a spar. The Perma-stun and stun immunity would make them too much for a Burglar too handle, regardless of how good he was/is. (and thats only scratching the surface; debuffs, a pets DPS - Lynx - heals, roots etc etc)
Dont get me wrong, Burgs are fiarly good. But its fairly common knowledge that the LM is the best sparring class in the game, easily. (and aye, PVP is exactly what it says on the tin, but its still a spar outside the Moors regardless)
Nothing really beats a good bug.. bugs are the most overpower and pvp unbalanced class in the game. and they can win EVERY pvp by holding his enemy in mezz and regen. moral. mezz holds 35 seconds and can be respelled after 30 seconds.. or using every skill twice and spell imba evade. fights against bug´s is no fun, ist just unfair. nerf the bug´s for balancing pvp ;)
Well thats just not true. Yes the mez lasts for 35s, but thats only in PvE, In Spars it only lasts for 15s, so they cant hold him all the time. Though they can stun after the mez, then restun, then mez again. But then those would be on CD and next time mez breaks he cant stun/mez in 15s. And during mez he cant damage you at all, cause then it'll just break.
back in time, when i wrote my comment, there was no dimishing returns. so you could keept him in mezz for ever.. and even now with moria burgs are still a hard backed cake in pvp with double 30 sec imba evade, conj, stuns, mezz and NOW roots. brakes in mezz is true, but not in stun. and a good burg can deal with half of your moral while your in 8 secs stun
A "good" Burglar beats a "good" Captain every time. It's not an issue! It's a fact! 6K morale is not going to stop a good Burg from killing you. If it does, then you're not sparring a "good" Burg!

All they keep doing is buffing the classes that need nerfs and turn a deaf ear to the underdogs who mind you, are the veteran players who are leaving WoW for other games such as LOTRO. Like many before me, I have noticed WoW change drastically with the introduction of the burning crusade. THe game has truly gone to shit, PVP is horribly imbalanced with the implementation of resilience, if you want to win in PVP, role a Mortal Strike Warrior and get season pvp gear. It's really quite pathetic.
Wow is great if you want to play characters with no skill with the ability to 1 or 2 shot anyone or spend endless nights in a guild that basically everyone hates each other cuz they spend more time with each other than people in their deminishing social circle raiding with 24-39 others all going for the 1 thing that drops of the raid boss for the week. Sounds fun huh..........
uh it's pretty fun if you're not a serious player games are supposed to be fun and only for fun not to be the best because WoW makes more money than your family makes in a lifetime
totally true, wow has lost it's initial sight of the true goal. To provide stable balanced gameplay and keep customers happy. This is not the case, instead they implement only that which will increase their profit and allow for a broader spectrum of players (noobs mainly). The game was skillful at first, but then it became monotonous and very noobish when they started making leveling easier and other implements to make the game easier and mroe desirable to new players. It's all about money.
Thats part of the fun IMO. Battle are acually more "realistic" in this game then in others where you can gather up 6+ mobs and cast some spell and there all dead.
A good fighter is in constant motion jumping in circles around his opponent while attacking...I think it is done with the keyboard only. I'm not sure what this shit is. Burgs and caps kick ass in MP though.
Why not riddle the herald, use daggers and all that?
