Welll see i love Marilyns singing and Sandras to but in the end i dont really care who it is its just a really great song and thye both could of sang it sooo will never really know unless they are a 100% accurate and have proof guys just dont worry :)

These are the types of pics and songs I like to remember of Bobby and Sandy. I've read both bios of Bobby: Roman Candle and Dream Lovers by Dodd. I've gone thru a few marriages myself and they are never easy. But unfortunately Bobby had all the control (it seemed). Anyway, thanks for this song. Sandra was a great talent that addiction grabbed a hold of, as it does many. If I were a praying person (I'm not) I would pray for both of them every day.

SANDRA DEE sang well, it's too bad she didn't record more - it seems like maybe Sandra was somewhat of a lost soul - she was wonderful in her movies, and sang far better than others who "tried" singing - and shouldn't have.

Wonderful job! Love this beautiful couple! A true love story with the joys, sadnesses and struggles of two people who lived their lives under a microscope at times but still made time to be awesome parents while raising a gorgeous and happy son and have good times along the way. Bobby's career was second to none in the short time he had with us. Sandra apparently was satisfied to raise a great son and stay in love with Bobby through good times and bad! Thanks for taking us back in such a wonderful way. Sandra Dee was so very special. I never could figure out why she became so reclusive. She had so much going for her. I still appreciate the theme from a summer place and remember her and Troy Donohue together. I saw every one of her pictiures. I think many a guy fell in love with that gal.

@lorrainemcnaueal - Sandra had a difficult time choosing roles and handling her career after the studio system ended. I think she wasn't savvy enough about the business to ge through that.

@lorrainemcnaueal If you read Dodd Darin's book, Dream Lovers, you will understand what a horrible early life Sandra had and how she really didn't have any coping skills to deal with her problems. Dodd is brutally honest about it and so is she in her interviews. Really tragic story for both Sandra and Bobby.

I never knew dear Sandra could sing. Why cldn't she have done more?? Her voice is sweet and lovely, and GOOD ! I always liked her and have VHS videos of A Summer Place, Imitation of Life and Portrait in Black. I was a senior in high school, or maybe a junior when Summer Place came out. Yes it was of the teenage romance genre ala late '50's early '60's, but I love it, esp the close ups of that adoreble sweet lovely face.

Loved Bobby Darin's voice and knew he died young but never knew he was married to Sandra Dee -- somehow I think my folks forgot to mention that. Wow what a wonderful couple -- did they do any duets?
