i love the O.C. wish it came back. as much as i loved marissa and what she did i hated that she died and no one could take her place!

but then Taylor just came in and just sparked a different kind of light and i really loved it and i loved Taylor i personally think she didnt ruin the show and i think season 4 was just as good as the other seasons. thats just me though.

Yes, they're very similar. In fact Josh Swartz, the creator of the O.C is the same one who created Gossip Girl. I think he just wanted to start over and kind of fix whatever he did wrong in the O.C with Gossip Girl. I think what he did wrong was kill a main character. You shouldn't kill a main character in a t.v. show because main characters have a lot of fans. But I still like the OC better.
