@vidgwatcher I did training too, but I immediately went over to multiplayer. At first I sucked, then I got a little better, then I got a lot better, and now I am a slightly above average TF2 player. I'm not saying I'm pro, far from that, its just F2P players don't get anything they deserve. Well they do get backstabbed... a lot... The point is that F2P players do suck, but some are special.

It's these frustrating moments when your team lost and you couldn't do anything about it that make people rage at f2p.

Even if you do competitive 6vs6 matches and you're a serious player, joining a public server back in the day didn't change things all that much. Now, there's just this huge swarm of horrible players in every single server. And when you're on one team with 7 snipers, 4 spies and pyros who can't use M2, there's nothing you can do since the entire enemy team will be making a non-stop push.

To all of you f2p out there not undestanding why we hate you so much - Everyone who bought the game before the f2p update is almost bound to be good since it's been such a long time. It's a matter of who's the best. However, most f2p have very little experience with the game and therefore are clueless about what's going on. You would not believe how frustrating it is, as a good player, to join a team full of Ghatsly Gibus wearing noobs constanly being pushed on, it limites what you can do.

I got the game when it was free. I got it back in July '11. After hearing "Horror Stories" of how P2Pers treated people like me, I wouldn't go into online servers for months after. Until I became a "Freemium". I wouldn't speak on a mic, hell, I wouldn't even talk when I did go online...

But I eventually got... Decent... Enough at the game to be confident.

Give F2Pers a chance. They're just noobs. They will improve. If they don't, they'll quit.

I think everyone needs to calm down with the f2p hate. I bought tf2 back in 08 but i'm fine with f2ps. JUST BECAUSE they are f2p doesn't necessarily mean they suck. Sure the Majority of HORRIBLE players ARE f2p but most of them aren't that bad. Look at the date this was posted itself, tf2 became f2p in april of 2011. THAT IS ALMOST 1 WHOLE YEAR! It takes less than 1 year to get good at this game. Some people just don't understand. And cmon, if the game didnt go f2p it would be a baren WASTELAND

If you paid the original 20$ you would have to know "Okay, I'm going to get good at this game and have fun with it." But now it's just a game that anyone can play, and I don't know why but there has been a significant drop in decent team members...I'd gladly help a F2Per out, but if he's on the other team he's probably screwed.

@Bluerage98 Oh come on, atleast most spies that use the enforcer admit its overpowered, and its pretty much general consensus that its overpowered, so why bother trying to fight it? I barely ever get killed by an enforcer, and when I do a bassy would of killed me too. I'm talking about straight statistics.

The spies revolver was balanced to be an OK weapon, the ambassador turned it into a good weapon if you have the skill, the enforcer is a great weapon with no skill requirement.
