    Thanks for your comments. Regarding the shower scene: Janet Leigh, in her book about the making of the film, states quite clearly that it was Hitchcock who directed her in that scene and not Saul Bass.

  • my mom was an usher in a movie theater when this came out.  she said the societal impact regarding showering was huge.
