Hi there, it's not fake but I actually bought this from a Theatre prop shop... but all you need is a tube with a tightly secured skin i.e transparency film (like a diaphragm) at one end with a long thin metal coil spring attatched to the centre of it.
i got one of those from Five and Below for 2 bucks
