Have you tried japanese rice wine? I had 2 big bad noticable dark spots on my face from not takin caution while dying my hair blonde. Anyways it heeled and left a nasty embarrassing mask of depigmentation on my face. I would rub the Sake on the spots at night. Wear a sunscreen during the day. The dark spot is not their anymore so I am contributing it to the sake. You might want to give it a try.

It's spelled Turmeric or Tumeric. It looks like ginger root, but has stronger smell. You can buy the Turmeric power at any Indian grocery stores or Southeast Asian grocery stores. Be careful don't let it spill on your clothes because yellow stain. It is also use as dye as well.
