@gldmnr44 Tell my nephew and nieces they missed the best decade of all time.Music was discovering itself and all the directions and heights it could go
another great canadian band that did not have a whole lot of success, i was at a good place in my life when that song came out, shelia early i had a huge crush on you.
This is in my favs right up there with Eyes of Stranger.
Particularly the sound/production of this song is very appealing to my ear, these kinds of basslines, guitar riff & textures, keyboards combos, the sound of 85 to 87, in contrast Eyes would be early 80's sounding.
I can think of 4 more songs with similar textures: Broken Wings,Tokyo Rose,I kiss you when its Dangerous,I just died in your arms tonight.
Never seen this vid, but love this song from when I still lived in Canada. I got the album along with their 1st 2 while there, and a Rock and Hyde one after I left, but that one was not to my liking. I love the Payolas, though. Christmas is Coming, Perhaps Someday, Romance, Stuck in the Rain, etc. They fucking ROCK!!!
Yes lowery thats is indeed bob rock,,hence Rock&hyde (Paul Hyde sings lead vocal) Xcellent kurdst ..i wasnt even aware there was a vid for this. Stuck in the rain was the big single if memory serves, though i loved the title track, was played at more than a few memorials. Thanks again
I miss the Payola$/Rock & Hyde. They made some pretty catchy music, but I guess the lure of being behind the mixing board was more alluring to them. Still, you'd think they would still be writing tunes and maybe put them together for an album or two.

I think that is Bob Rock on guitar. This was before he started producing.

Actually, it was during. He started producing albums in 1979, as well as engineering.
