@supersmashist i used both the Motor Mount & Prothane Transmission Mounts, they claim to take 90%+ wheel hop out. once they settled, the car was great. the vibrations at first once installed where awful. but after that its a dream drive.
i used to have solid engine mounts in my 99 monte carlo... not really much gain, especailly considering the thing drove like the engine was connected to the frame, vibrations nearly tore the car apart!
Dang, I gotta replace my motor mount cuz my engine keeps on leaping out everytime I reverse, but its going to cost some money since you've gotta take the whole engine out
the supercharged cobalts have really bad wheelhop. i ve installed the motor mount which keeps the engine stationary-and with the help of the trans bushing- eliminates the wheelhop.
@artawesome so should I re install it or just wait

Which is better the solid motor mounts or the torque dampener and will they eliminate wheel hop?

@artawesome
there is a mount, it is a round shape mount.

hey since you have the mounts in..can you still install an Ingalls Torque dampener on top of the mounts like the stock ones????
stacydammit 3 years ago
theres no need for the damper with the solid motor mount. i dont believe they would fit the TTR mount anyway.
artawesome 3 years ago
since u have the tran mounts and the new motor mount how the wheel hop lil less or nothing at all...how does it help...or how how the diffence now?
stacydammit 3 years ago
i've had the them almost a few year now. i m running stage II and i have no wheel hop what so ever.
