I have to believe that this sound is what the Beatles intended to give us with their ill-fated, Get Back concept. Raw, minimaly produced and real! I so enjoy the Nake d sound of this album
I saw Paul in Cincinnati, August 4, 2011. Greatest show ever!!! And, I seen lots, and lots of live shows. He played "I've Got A Feelin'"!!! And, it Fuckin' JAMMED!!!!!!!!
I always loved everything The Beatles did but the origional release of Let It Be (Though had it's moments) was little to be desired until the naked version came out...this was more of what the band hand in mind I think
Dare to tell me now that ringo isn't a good drummer. He just isn't the show-off drummer. He has a tremendous feel and always knows when to come in and his fills always fit the song perfectly.
@letosvet1 I'm pretty sure it was Ringo who did this...
He didn't read music. He would improvise all the time, and did what he thought was right. (If I have my people right, my Dad is the one who saw the documentary, not me.)
As a drummer who loves people of likes such as John Bonham, Ginger Baker, etc, I'd have to say Ringo is one of my favorites as well. His grooves create very nice feels, and he drums with personality. Fits The Beatles like one of them round pegs
I think I like the Let It Be version a bit more because I first heard it on that, and it was a hard rock type of theme, but this kind of dampens that hardness. Both versions kick ass. I've got a feeling is the Beatles third best song so it doesn't really matter.
@BeatlesMadeTheWorld dude i completley agree the naked version looses the dirty rock sound which i though made the song but this version is still awsome cuz its still the beatles haha
@BeatlesMadeTheWorld That's probably because that was the live version performed at the rooftop concert, whereas this is a remix of the studio version they recorded during the filming of Let It Be.
My challenge to someone more talented than me is to remix the footage of the band playing on the roof to give it a little more pep and then use this as the audio track.
Owen, his arms still crossed defiantly over his chest, said Rusty just flipped a giantmiddle finger to the PKFR world. And nobodys even caught on to it yet.
@ntjfninjas - Yeah, I can see that. The idea though was to turn the competition on its head by using a song no one would think to use. Something old, totally different from beat heavy, computer-made stuff.
Thank you very much for reading and I'm glad you took the time to check out the song! Enjoy Chapter 16, it was just released and I timed the action to the song. Test it and see ;-)
@TheGabeArnold No problem man! I LOVE rise!!! If it gets published, i will be one of the first to buy it. Its an amazing story. Where is Chapter 16? I can't find it :(
@thethirdeye9 Phil Spector was the straw that broke the camel's back. The Beatles were not getting along at the time, and his embellishment of the Long and Winding Road ultimately motivated McCartney to sue the rest of the Beatles.
@aarzack Paul sued the other beatles because he was still contracted to EMI for songs, cause he did the contract before the beatles split up, and since he was the manager at the time, he had to use his own name. Besides, in the lawsuit, only paul showed up
Maybe my third favourite song by The Beatles. And my third favourite in general. :3
Honestly, this doesn't get enough credit.
After comparing this and the original version, I have to say... this song strikes me as being better. I can't notice what's different, exactly, but... It's better. The original Let it Be album in general... Well, I loved it, but... Any song on Naked is better than the Let it Be version, simply put. This album is, for lack of a better word, amazing.
I agree that Let It Be...Naked is better then Spector's Let It Be, but to be fair Spector did some good things with it, plus with The Beatles breaking up at the time they werent even going to release Let It Be so you have to thank him for that.
LOVE THIS SONG. I know why Let it Be (either the original or the naked version) is definantly one of my top fav. albums of all time. with songs like Get back, let it be, I've got a feeling, One after 909, I me Mine, for you blue...well you get the picture lol its just an awesome rock album. Show this to anyone nowadays and say "THIS IS ROCK".

So I've been a fan of this song for a while, but I only just decided to listen to the Naked version.
I notice it's clean, less chatter, cool.
Then Paul decides to let out a joyous roar.
And my mind is blown.
Thank you so much, Paul.
