i have this mixer and i just cant seem to figer out what allen & heath ware thinking when they put the gain at the back ??????? its so wierd like

maby a little mirror reflecting the nobs at the back for positions would be helpfull

anyway i had both 600 and xone 32 and my conclusion is xone 32 has brains and 600 has brawn

hi, see what you're doing with the channels there? the channel led should be one green bar maximum, master output put to maximum and the led's there should be around -3 when everything is gained properly. a&h are built with sound quality in mind and assuring you achieve unity gain maximises sound quality, especially with digital music from a cd deck. watch my video to have a look at what i mean :)

Try turning 2 or even ALL the filters (HP+MP+LP) together for incredible sweeps. I've had my Xone 32 for 6 years now and I'm always dissapointed when I play a venue that has a Pioneer mixer. Just not as creative as the Xone. When you're playing Tech the Xone is the bomb.

hey my man, no there isnt, the output for headphone monitoringis actualy very powerful. I seems strange that the djm 400 being a relatively new mixer would have that problem....u sure you're not losing ur hearing already?? lololol GET A&H BOY

Hi emireitor , firstly what a great video , A&H should sign you up....! Not sure why I watched it as I've had my Xone 32 for a couple of years but always nice to hear people talk about stuff you love also and agree on. My bro used to have 62 & 92 so when I was building my set-up there was only one type of mixer that was going to be purchased ... A&H rule . Love you choice of music also , that tune was corker ! the thing i dont like on the x32 is the small leds for monitoring and the xone 42 only has 2 phono wtf and and the 92 is too expensive...they dont make anything for my needs lol

whah effect is not really that great, the sound from A&H is amazing. And after a year I am very happy with it, if your fgoing to be home/house party dj or for hobbie, I would say its a great choice instead of a two channel mixer

Nice video. I own a Xone:32 and you've covered all bases. From the general comments: on the '4 bar channel' LED's - more than adequate for a small club - anything beyond you're looking at the wrong product. Layout - each to their own: you work to what you're used to to; personally, it works great for me and is easy to work with but if you prefer another make, stick with them. DJ'ing like all arts is a personal thing. Brands compete - best to try it first before buying in my opinion.

hey mate, i`m thinking about buying an A&H. Which one would you recommend? The xone:32 or the xone:42? The xone:42 doesn`t have the LFO but a nicer layout and an additional channel. After this vid i`m tending to get the xone:32 though ^^

Plus, later i want to get the pioneer effector 500. Why again didn`t you hook it up with send/return?

I like the 600 better! I have played on both! I dont like controls on the front and back of my mixer... and filters are really boring to me... Its got good sound, just hate the layout. my only big complaint is that the clip meters for every channel have only 4 LED's thats not very great to check levels

i think it is a matter of preferrence, but i cant say the djm600 is bad, I actually never sold it and play with it as well. I just becaume an A&H bitch plus this mixer is more like an entry level, xone 42 is a whole other story.

good question my friend, I really liked xone 22 because its new and has the two most used filters. Personally, regardless of what level DJ u r, I would suggest the 32, its an older model but is very nice and you have 3 channels plus an additional filter. If you do your homework, you might even find a X 32 for around the same price.

I just bought this mixer and there's a goof few things i DON'T like about it:

-shit crossfader. don't think you can even dabble in scratching with this (P&G upgrade is only £60 [but it's the cf curve that's the problem....i think])

-line faders are massively stepped, and hardly do anything till there 40% of the way up

-no RCA master output -need to buy TRS to RCA cable

-limited channel level meters (only 4 LEDs

overall a bit disappointed

My friend, you should def go witht his one. the only thing is the pioneer effects but if you look and listen to the great djs (Carola, Vath, Loco dice, Luciano etc) effects are not nice when you over do them. Filters are more than enough. A&H FTW

I actually did. I never sold it. its good for practice sinse is the same layout as the djm800 which you find at almost al clubs, however, to play at parties or home, I use my A&H, much more nice. Wverytime I open my crate, people are like OOHH shit, he's got an A&H....

I haven't done a deep search but if it is done the way i tried it it sucks.

Here's the deal: Aux out goes from mixer into effects unit, from effects unit you go into mixer on channel 2. When mixing, you will increase the level of aux (above from the high level on each channel) and then increase the volume of channel two to get the effect on master out.

This sucks dwarf testicles. It sounds terrible and BTW...

IS THIS DONE RIGHT?? ANY BODY THAT OWNS A&H CAN CONFIRM PLEASE?

hey wuts up i also have the xone 32 and its a real awsone mixer. but your led meter should not reach the red mark. the reason 4 this is to not have your music sound distorted. set ur gain level and the master or booth level and control ur volume from the chanel . ur music will have a cleaner outcome .

deppends on what pioneer, its competitor I would say is the djm400 (2 channels)and it totally takes a crap on it. Xone 32 usually $599.....if you aree aptient and know where to look you can get one second hand for much less. Thanks for the comment
