This is untrue. They get that reputation from 'mouthing' things. Their lips are very sensitive and that's how they learn about their surroundings. They require certain feeds to insure good nutrition, and they are the pickiest of livestocks to feed, in my opinion. :)

Maybe cardboard, newspaper and matches aren't particularly nutritious, but if your goats are more picky than any other livestock they're either defective or you're doing something wrong!

Just remember that they do get big someday, are a herd animal (so you need two) and need quite a bit of care. It's an every day commitment, not just a "I want" situation that you can get tired of and then get rid of it, or neglect. :)
