No thats the oldest. I've been on the Mount Washington Cog Railway multiple times and its not nearly this steep. Even at its steepest point. Its cool that the Mount Washington is steam though. But they will be building a diesel engine each year to replace them and use steam on special ocassions.

i dont think that its the steepest cog railway in the world. the steepest cog railway is in New hampshire.

Yes, it's Pilatus cog wheel. I live at 30 km from this place. Steepest gradient is 48% (or 44 degrees).
