  • It's feels weird with the sound off....

  • Absolutly agree with UUreviews.. this was not the best set of the history..you have to watch a little bit more of tennis..

  • Worst highlights I've ever seen

  • Idk why the dislikes, it isn't the BEST set ever but its good though

  • Is it me or was his first serve % a shocking FORTY PERCENT?

  • federe played so awesomely...always have

  • 24-6. That says it all...

  • this is back in the good old days when there was not a single person in the world who could beat federer on an even average day for him. lol

  • @asfadasfa1234

Safin beat him in an aus open semi. And if you can remember, Federer was giving one of his best performances in his life. Federer had by far the best average performance ever, but talking about best single match or even set, it has to go to safin.

  • Actually both during and before are not advisable.

  • If Roddick would stop squeezing his testicles so much he might be able to concentrate better- every sportsman is adviced not to have sex or masturbate before important matches.

  • @computermaster Before a match is OK. During a match is usually inadvisable.

  • funny that federer loses the first point.

  • this was only 5 years ago, and he looks so much younger..

  • Best set? No. Most one sided yes.

  • Marat Safin 2005 Australian Open Semifinal. The most unbelievable display of tennis I have ever seen and ever will see. Makes this look silly.

  • the good in this set was good (that is all), the bad in this set was terrible

  • I almost cried watching this match, have never seen anything so beautiful

  • watched that live, it was madnes ^^

  • roddick played shit this match

  • apart from his serve roddick isnt that good

  • New title should = Roddick playing inconsistently

  • the sound delay is awful, so awful i want to strangle the next person i see. that being said though, nice video

  • Andy is one of the worst players in top 5 ever. Guy sucks! He lives and dies with his serve.

  • tennis history lol

  • 4:52 if only andy couldve done this on the first point... and then repeated in 24 times... it wouldnt have been so bad

  • The point at 4:09 beautiful footwork

  • seems Roddick was so pissed after losing the first set so narrowly (being broken in a game where he'd thrown down two aces, including one serve being hit at 230km/h, one of his biggest that night if memory serves me correctly) that he came out in this one just trying to blast Federer away with one big serve and one big groundie. Damn with that serve, if grass courts were as predominant as they were back fifty years ago, Roddick would have so many more titles...

  • The best set of tennis? I vote Murray's 6-0 trouncing of Nadal in this year's Tokyo final. He basically zoned for an entire set.

  • Not the best set ever, but it was great.

  • His best set of tennis ever may have actually been the 6-0 set he dropped on Nadal this year in London if we were to update it.

  • I've thumbed this video down not because of Fed's perfect tennis in this match but cos of the video itself, which is shockingly out of sync...come on, you can do better than this

  • Federer, by no doubt, is the greatest player ever!

  • Roddick... so lame at the net

  • its roddick playing its worst ;)

  • 4:05 One of the worst volleys seen for a while, just awful.

  • 0:08 CM! xd

  • Wow... Compare these easy middle court chip returns and today's turbo long returns to the baseline from Djokovic... So different.

  • @shakalakazu Well, you gotta keep in mind that it is part of Federer's game plan to bring his opponent to the net with the low chip return, especially against Roddick whose approaches are often not good enough.

  • wooow fed jugo increible! ningun tenista como el! aunque ahora pierda sigue tenido mi respeto porque su juego es magico!!

  • one good shot from andy

  • ok...this is federer serving at 40% and still winning 6-0...WHAT! lol

  • Roddick makes everybody look better, yes, even Federer

  • Well, thats why consistency is so important in tennis. And Roger is losing his consistency in recent years. Thats why he is still a magician but fails to close the match on his favour.

    Still love you Roger!!!

  • @orangekeita

That's actually not true. Consistency in matches is still good but he just doesn't play as good on the really big points anymore. That's actually the difference.

  • @Laxave So true. He is still in all the big matches he plays and is in fact often leading and then fades. US Open 2009 final won the first set and was serving for the second set. 2010 US Open, upv2 sets to 1 and then had 2 match points. 2011 was up 5 to 2 in the first set and had set point in the French final 2011, Wimbledon up 2 sets to 0, US Open 2 sets to 0 and 2 match points, Australian Open 2012 wins the first set against Nadal then up a break in the third and yet loses in 4.

  • this should be titled roddick playng his worst set of tennis ever

  • @UUreviews Not at all. Federer was playing too well.

  • @blanchedubois11 No he wasn't. More than half the points he won in that set were unforced errors by Roddick.

  • @UUreviews no, it's actually the best tennis roddick had ever.. but it still doesn't change anything

  • @UUreviews no I disagree, by saying so you're taking away credit for Federer. Roddick does give his all whenever he plays Fed, but Fed is just too good every time.

  • @UUreviews yeah, so many unforced errors

  • @UUreviews maybe but roger returned some really tough shots and placed all his returns well.

  • this clip is filled with errors from both players

  • Roger and Andy :)
