He was trying to promote SOB at the time because they were part of Machine Shop Recordings. Mike just did this as a side project from Linkin Park. Though I do agree with what you said. I remember requesting Fort Minor songs when the album came out and got responses from the DJs that this is the music that should be on the radio.
