@mauileqwerty it's pretty difficult to find bootlegs from 1968 and only a few exist but they did still play piper at the gates stuff in 1968 and only those who were there know what the setlist was like just after syd left so who knows
@pinkfloydrule27 there are some boots from even like 71 or 73 at the latest i can't remember where they'll play like flaming or one or two of the other songs but never more than that.

This is a bootleg of Syd and floyd, no dave in copenhagen in September of 67. This is one of the more focused shows he did during this time. He was very together in Sweden and had a new Vox Wah Pedal.
is the track labeld stoned alone actually stoned alone or is it reaction in G (which is mistakenly called stoned alone) and also were there any live show recorded with both sy and gilmour cuz i know they played some together
@Traductus5972 yes it is stoned alone i have a version that is reaction in g but not on this one. And the shows with syd and dave were January 1968 no bootlegs i know of have surfaced but if there are any tracked down i will try my hardest too find them
Very, very interesting. I might even say that Syd's songs form a better "framework" for lengthy improvisations than later, more pastoral or lyrical songs like "Fat old sun" and "Embryo". Those improvisations are fantastic, of course, but they always seemed kind of tacked on. Still, it all turned out for the best as "Echoes" and most later stuff amply prove.
The fact that this video only has a little over 2000 hits shows that the mass of Pink Floyd fans don't cherish, or even possibly know, the Syd lineup. Their loss. This is brilliant.
Any person who is in possession of a rare bootleg recording has a duty to treat said item with great care and respect, and make sure it doesn't get lost for good. Copying the audio over to more modern sound storage units is a good thing,
Wow. I had no idea there was a recording of this song live. The instrumental in the middle is really great, and Syd sounds strong. Thanks for posting.
yeh on this bootleg syd seems a bit on and off in this song hes great but in the next song (scream thy last scream) you can see hes not in a great state of mind
where did you dig that up?

Definitely Syd on this bootleg. You can't mistake that tone. And of course on the "you only have to read the lines" it's obviously Syd
