ugh i hate looking at tutorials because my sony vegas never has the same buttons :( When i click that button that looks like a green clapboard with the letter a, i only have two options, source alpha and multple mask. there is no cut, screen, overlay etc, options.. :( anyone explain!

On the left of sony vegas, at the bottom where you have the tracks (where you put pictures, clips songs etc.) You have a sort of box thing at the beginning of every track. Thats where you drag the effects.

when the text thing comes up, type in what you want then go on the properties tab and make the 'tracking' less or more dependng on if you want it more spaced out or more huddled together like on the video.
