How to connect to the internet wireless or wired

does there always need to be a ethernet cable from the router plugged into a computer? i ask because i have cable internet but only own one laptop and i dont want to be stuck in the wall.

@GamerzProductionz1 yes this is very possible, you will need to buy an extra ethernet cable and plug it from one of the lan ports from the back of your wireless router and the other end into your kin

@guillermovlogs yes this is what you would need to do to go wired again unless you have another ethernet cable and you can keep your wireless but just go wired with your laptop by plugging an ethernet from one of the router ports and the other end into your laptop

alright so idk if im just really stupid or sumthimg, but i cant find out how to connect to wired internet at home.i have wireless intrnet, but sumtimes my kin is dling stuff and i wanna go wired with them remaining on wireless.is this possible?thnx i wud b rlly gratefull if u told me how

this is a dumb question, but I'm just about to finally go wireless on my laptop, what about when I know my laptop will be staying in the same place, and I wanna go wired again. would I unplug the ethernet cable from the wireless router back into my laptop?
