  • dude ganons trident doesnt meen anything he could get it anywhere, he had 2 swords in wind waker? where did he get them? no one knows and it doesnt matter its just a weapon!

  • Skyward is next under child because demise is a reincarnation of Ganon not actual Ganon

  • ok so is the original links soul passed down through these links? or is it a guy that looks just like him every time and somehow always manages to seal ganon?

  • You put Four Swords in the wrong place.Think about it, The Four Sword was in the first Hyrule. How could the new Link get the Four Sword in the new Hyrule?

  • good job on this timeline

  • Spirit tracks is a squeal to phantom hourglass, that goes right after it, then skyward sword is before everything, because that's where the very first zelda and link wear born

  • you need skyward and spirt tracks, i dont know about skyward but Iknow there wasnt a ganon(dorf) in spirit tracks, but a evil spirit that possessess zelda's body (im not that clear, havent played it in a while honestly

  • exellent theory, ive never played the gb and gba zelda games or the nes snes zelda games, however your analysis makes perfect sense, which got me thinking nintendo could remake the original zelda games for the snes and nes so we can get a better understanding of the story

  • this the best Zelda timeline Ive ever sen but why must Nintendo mess with our minds and leave us with guesses and assumptions

  • When is part 3 coming? :)

  • Dude in the first zelda there is a master sword it's in the damn grave yard back in 1987 when I first got it Zelda it's was not call anything else but master sword u need to do your timeline again it sound good and u almost had me but u mess up when u spit the timeline up

  • @mrderrick3421 No it's called the magic sword. big difference...

  • @johnnyscifi it was never call the magic sword when the 1986 zelda came out i know i had it back in 1986 look it up

  • @mrderrick3421 I had the game as well. It IS called the magic sword. Infact Link in the gamecube version of Soul Calibur gets a sword called the magic sword is homage to the original magic sword...

  • @johnnyscifi The master sword didn't show up until a Link to the Past.

  • You neglected to mention the fact that Link's Awakening was all just a dream so technically it's irrelevant to the timeline.

  • Skyward Sword creates tons of holes in this timeline, other than the ones that already exist because of his epic failure at knowing the story on a couple of the games.

  • Dude you are so wrong about the Oracle games, if you have both games and 2 gbc's with a link cable then you can play oracle of secrets in which Ganon is the final boss, doesn't sound like he's very dead to me.

  • I agree with this, but don't understand the whole four sword adventure....why Is it just Ganon? And why isn't the four sword mentioned in LTTP if Ganon was sealed in it?

And sir why don't you add skyward sword into this now....

  • In tp link is adult, and in ww link is a kid. shouldn't tp be in the adult timeline and ww be in the child timeline..?

  • @LyssNics The Link in Windwaker isn't related to the Hero of Time.

  • There is no hyrule after wind waker. The king wished to the triforce for link and zelda to have their own land

  • Excellent timeline... But I don't agree with it.

  • I had a theory that after Wind Waker or Phantom Hourglass that Link's awakening could take place because he is caught is a storm. then the theory is that he meets back up with tetra to find the new Hyrule in Spirit Tracks. But you said Aganim and Ganon were in links awakeningas the ffinal nightmares so it wouldnt make sense.

  • But there is a triforce on Link's shield on the cover of FSA.

  • There is a Master Sword in the Legend of Zelda. It was called the Magic Sword, but on the first few copies released, they called it the Master Sword. Not really the Master Sword, but it was just for a special edition thing, I guess.

  • have you forgotten the original legend of zelda or does that have nothing to do with the main storyline

  • where does spirit rails come in its the most recent game after phantom hourglass?

  • I think The first 2 Zelda games do not fit in the timeline. Think about it. Nintendo was small back then, and making a game so thought out and in depth for generations is kind of over and above. I think a general timeline was built from Link to the Past or OoT and, from there, games were designed around their basic idea, whether that be before certain events or after. I don't think it was preset from way back in the 1980s on their first console, before they knew they would be successful.

  • It says for skyward sword that it is the direct prequel to ocarina of time and will explain how ganondarf appeared.

  • About the Oracle of Ages/Seasons, your theory is false. At the beginning of Ages/Seasons you come across Impa, who was in OoT(which means that for her to live through TP she is freaking OLD!!) and she says that she see's the triforce on the back of your hand, and that she is Nayru who is one of the goddesses. here is where your theory becomes false. Link had no idea he had the triforce until he was an adult in OoT when Ganondorf revealed that he held the triforce of Courage.

  • @marchingchieftain I meant that she is looking for Nayru

  • I like the way you pronounce 'pedestal'.

  • You've never played the original Legend of Zelda, have you?

  • congrats this is a very well thought out timeline. i have my disagreements, but great job.

  • if its 100 years later after link to the past, is link like 300 years old

  • I'm sorry to be the one to say it, but you are WRONG.

  • wouldn't a link to the past be before twilight princess because u said he put the master sword back in the lost woods and in twilight princess u get the sword in that place

  • They already made moar games.

  • No lost woods? Up, left down left.

  • this is a really interesting timeline, thanks for sharing :)

  • You must have made a mistake somewhere because Gannon is on the game over in adventures of link PS hyrule in link to the past is the same as in the first game

  • you sir blew my minddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

  • ganon ending No ganon

  • Um, there IS a Lost Woods in the first game.

  • spirit tracks?

  • @PtOrangEstudios Didn't Come out yet

  • first i dont understand why in fourswords adventure dosent appears the master sword and after that magicaly is in the woods in a link to the past? beside foursword adventures is immediately of foursword and its oficial

second one links awakening also is immediately of a link to the past and again it is oficial

but its ur way to see the time line of zelda and i respect it. its a good time line bro

  • did anyone else see the stained glass window of tetra in spirit tracks, and that Zelda's Lullaby is played a lot too?

    ITS A CONSPIRACY

  • Ahem, A Link to the Past IS in the child timeline, because Link loses it in Ganondorf's head in WW, and in ALttP he puts it in a pedestal to NEVER be drawn again :3

  • 0:54 In original japanese vercion of oracles, zelda not know link.

  • ur wrong all wrong

  • after much conclusion i think the zelda timeline is different for each player whatever order u play them in is ur own personal timeline pretty much excpet for a few of the games which r obvous sequals otherwise there all mixd up like a choose ur own adventure book

  • Wouldnt in seven years on the child timeline in merges into the beginning of the adult timeline

  • can you finish the time line with the two new games?

  • this is a great time line.can you make another when skyward sword comes out? i hear it takes place before ocarina of time.

  • @lozfan1328 I will make a part three after Skyward Sword comes out, yes.

  • @Jusekai Still gonna do it?

  • Why is Link to the Past placed on this Timeline twice?

  • I very much agree with this timeline to a point... In LA Link faces a nightmare version of Agahnim. If this Link is the same Link as Z 1 and 2, who mind you is not the same Link who faced Agahnim in ALttP, then how can the LA Link have a nightmare about Agahnim?

  • lolz the new hyrule is "chugging right along." its funny because theres a train in sprit tracks

  • would you Update the timiline(new video) after the Wii U games come out?

  • peDEStal. lol.

  • Good timeline. Only one problem though. I don't think LTTP is a direct sequel to FSA, as Zelda and Link do not know each other at the beginning of LTTP.

Zelda introduces herself in a vision to Link at the beginning.

    Apart from that, good timeline.

  • no top comment yay nows my chance i really want a top comment 4 1nce!

  • The third sword in the original NES Zelda was called the magical sword. If anything why would a old man have the master sword in the first place?

  • Just wait when [The Legend of Zelda: Harmonica of Distance] comes out, it'll ruin EVERYTHING

  • zelda 1 have a master sword DOH...

the second sword is the master sword and the third sword is the biggoron(magical sword) doh

  • what bout the fact that The King of Red Lions knew that the "Hero of time" went to an alternate place in Majoras Mask?

  • what about the fact that The King of Red Loins knew about link going to that alternate place in Majoras Mask?

  • DUDE! How Could you seal ganon in four swords when you killed him in twilight princess? Or Did you mean that zombie?

  • this has to be one of the most well put together timelines i have heard. this is awesome

  • @TheAngelThatCry This was posted in 2008, and therefore does NOT have the two most recent games, in terms of release, on it. Skyward sword is explicitly stated to be a prequel to Ocarina of Time.

  • oh yeah, there is definitely a Lost Woods in Zelda 1, remember unless you go the right way, you get lost? The master sword is in a graveyard, but you must pass through the lost woods to get to it.

  • Ok quick thing about the original 8-bit LOZ with just link and Ganon. You said in your review that the master sword was not in the game, but it is. It is the final sword you get after gaining 12 hearts from the man in the cemetary and I think they called the Master Sword in the game or instruction booklet. The White sword was in the game, but only as a level-2 sword on the up to the Master Sword

  • and another thing is that at the end of Wind waker the triforce was used to flood hyrule... so wouldn't it be splitted again, and wouldn't they have to start searching for it again? because if I remember rigth you only have a wish with it and then it split away...

  • Where do skyward sword and phantom hourglass fit in this timeline?? by the way, good explanation for all the time line, I have seen about 8 or 9 people, you r the first one that explains every single for each part of the timeline to e there. I have ALL THE GAMES and yet i wasnt able to come out with a timeline it took time that i couldnt get at all. Thank you.

  • Everyone excludes the CD-I games like Wand of Gamelon from these elaborate timeline theories. I can partially understand why, but seems like kind of a cop out, don'tcha think?

  • I actually think hat his kinda of close to the timeline but I believe that when they make the last zelda game the timeline will be revealed

  • Excuse me if you made a video of this, but could you explain in more detail how Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks fit on this timeline?

  • there is a lost woods in the first zelda, i remember getting lost in it all the time cuz i was like 5

  • Comment removed

  • can somone please explain to me what happend to kid link he was sent back to relive his childhood then it says that in twighlight princess its not the same link so what happened to him ?

  • Wait wasn't it in link to the past that they said that Ganon was sealed by the 7 wise men who sealed him not link and thats why he needs the 7 maidens because they're the desendents of the wise men

  • Ok, so i had only played the original legend of zelda, and I didn't have any new systems to play more... I wanted to catch up on the story.. now.. my head hurts..

  • Is it true that Skyward Sword will be a prequel to Ocarina of Time and tell the story of how the Master Sword was made? I read this somewhere, but I don't know if it was just speculation or something Nintendo officially released.

  • for some reason i think seasons comes before ages.... dont ask me y i really dont know y?

  • It doesn't make sense for TP Link to be seasons or ages Link,he looks younger in those games,it would make more sense for the seasons/ages link to be Zelda 1's Link.

  • Um... there is a Master Sword in the first game. It is in the graveyard. And Link and Zelda are kids in the first game.

  • @jtomally9681 No that was the magic sword

  • @candyisbroke That's right. But when you think about it, it looks just like the master sword and is as powerful. So if you use your imagination it can also be the same as the master sword.

  • @jtomally9681 Actually, it isn't the master sword, it's the magical sword, and if it was, link wouldn't need the silver arrows to defeat him.

  • @MrBeastschannel Well it is like I said on my Zelda Timeline Review, It is only a matter of opinions. So we are all correct in our own point of views.

  • omg! how many link's are there?!

  • There is a lost woods in the original loz

  • so basicaly twinrova brought back phantom ganon

instead of ganondorf in the oracle games

  • best theory i've heard. probably because it doesn't make my fucking head hurt so much

  • @sukTHEdick Then tell us how you would arrange them instead of insulting other people's opinions

  • The picture for four swords adventure had green link with a TRIFORCE SYMBOL on his shield!!!! Thumbs up if you saw it too.

  • Zelda 1 and 2, may last because this link can kill ganon without master sword.

Zelda 2, well bad guy fail to kill link. Link surivive this.

  • your timeline is a mess compared to mine XD i mean yours makes perfect sence and there is no official one so there is no attacking it but my idea was soo diferent then yours its cool to see what other dedicated fans think though

  • so now where do spirit tracks and skyward sword take pace -_-''

  • So, in summary, the true timeline is this:

Imprisoning War/Wise Men's Seal/Temple of Light creation - Great War - OoT - MM - OoS - OoA - LoZ - AoL - LttP - LA. These all have the same Link and Zelda except for AoL which has the Zelda from generations past.

OoT's future splits, and if Link had chosen to stay in the future, this is what would be:

    OoT (future) - WW - PH - TP - FSA - MC.

Thankfully Link went back in time, thus erasing this timeline from existance.

  • Link's Adventure also must take place in the child timeline and must follow both OoT AND LttP. As you said, Link fights a nightmare form of Agahnim and LttP Ganon. As I said before, Link meets Tarin and Marin, who are memories of Talon and Malon from OoT. Same with Kaepora Gaebora the owl, who appears in OoT and MM. This owl is in LA as well. However, this could either be Link's memory of him from OoT and MM, or it could be the actual owl. That's unknown.

  • The most powerful sword in LoZ is the Magical Sword, however you don't defeat Ganon with that sword. You can only kill him with the Silver Arrows.

Also your account of AoL is wrong. You are right that it is a different Zelda than the one in OoT, MM, OoS/A, and LoZ, however this Zelda has been asleep for centuries. She is one of the oldest Zeldas in the Royal Family. She is Zelda's great x (4?) aunt. AoL connects to OoS/A since Link has the Triforce mark on his hand in all three games.

  • Your account of LoZ is flawed. LoZ states that Ganon stole the Triforce of Power, not that it was lost somewhere and he found it. But this does not say WHEN he stole it. This act of theft refers to OoT when Ganondorf followed Link into the Sacred Realm and touched the Triforce, thus stealing the ToP. Ganondorf held this part through MM and OoS/A. After these games Ganon recovers and then attacks Hyrule and kidnaps Zelda. Before he can however, she breaks her ToW into 8 units.

  • After everything in Hyrule is peaceful again, Link relinquishes the Triforce having the wisdom to know that no man should have absolute power. So he returns it to the Temple of Light, which exists inside the Sacred Realm, which we see turn from blood red back to gold and then to blue skys.

From here LA takes place. Also, LA must follow OoT in the timeline. This is because the island is a dream world, and the people Link meets there are from his memories of the OoT/MM adventure (Tarin/Marin).

  • Also, Ganon's Trident is nothing special. It's just a weapon that he chooses to use in some games. Also, in LttP Link obtains the whole Triforce and basically becomes "god" of the planet. He restores people to life, makes things normal in Hyrule again, cures the ill, and turns the girls and the guards back to normal. He restores the Temple of Light. He does NOT bring Ganon back to life. In fact, LttP suggests that Ganon has been obliterated since Link destroyed his soul in the last fight.

  • Your theory on the Triforce is speculation. I'm sure it makes sense the way you have explained it, but the Triforce's status in LttP can be explained in a number of ways based on how people place the games. My explanation is that the Triforce was not unified, as proven in LttP. When Link enters the Triforce room the Triforce parts are separate, not one piece. They do not come together until Link approaches them. The pieces got there because Link recovered the ToP from LoZ and the ToC from AoL.

  • You're right that Link and Zelda know each other, but you're wrong about Ganon being sealed. There was no seal over Ganon at this time. Also, if you are referring to the Wise Men's Seal, that was created generations before LttP took place. Therefore it cannot possibly be a seal placed on a present day Ganon.

In fact the seal that Ganon and Agahnim were trying to break was the original seal over the Sacred Realm, also known as the Temple of Light, which protected the Triforce from evil hands.

  • Again, the future timeline was erased, so all those kiddy Zelda games are worthless and not even worth mentioning.

After Ganon escapes in OoS/A he flees to Pinnicle Rock to recover. Link also returns to Hyrule as does Zelda. From here LoZ takes place. Then AoL. Then LttP. However, LttP can't take place after FS because Ganon is dead in LttP. He is not sealed anywhere. He exists in spirit form, which is how he was able to posess Agahnim and use him to break the Wise Men's Seal over the Triforce.

  • Now, your theory doesn't makes sense here. Ganon cannot exist in two timelines at once. This is similar to the Triforce of Courage and Master Sword thing with WW. Either Ganondorf is revived by Twinrova in OoS/A, or he exists in the future timeline. You can't have it both ways.

Since the future was overwritten, that leaves only the child timeline as the true timeline. Again, Ganondorf was not brought back to life in OoS/A, he was freed from the Void of the Evil Realm in a weak state.

  • Komue and Kotake said they were trying to revive Ganondorf, not resurrect him. Zelda was the one to say that, but she wasn't the one performing the ritual. She was to be the sacrifice. It is likely that after being sealed in the Void in OoT Ganon began to die. He lived off the Triforce of Power like a parasite. So he was in a weak state when Twinrova freed him. Ganon was not killed in OoS/A either. He escaped. We know he didn't die because Link didn't have Silver Arrows to kill him with.

  • You are correct about OoS/A. These must take place in the true timeline because Komue and Kotake are only alive in the true timeline. However, these can't possibly follow TP. Komue and Kotake would be WAY too old to do anything by the time these games roll around. The Triforce sequence in the beginning is not real. That was just a dream or vision of the future. Also, it is most likely that they were trying to free Ganondorf from the Void of the Evil Realm, not bring him back to life.

  • what they need to do is make another Ocarina of Time type game to fuse both the child and the adult Link lines together.

  • there is a lost woods in the legened of zelda.

  • ganon has to be killed with the silver arrows to die finally. so zelda 1+2 take place after the oracles of games.

but in all other cases, I agree with you completely

  • This all started with A Link To the Past and got worse when Ocarina of Time came out.

The creator didn't think to make a timeline when he started making the games until Ocarina of Time but by then it was to late some peices just wouldn't fit.

The gamers were great I just wish they could remake the stroy so we can have an official timeline.

  • I think Nintendo didn't even know the storyline when they made these titles.

  • i don't think zelda timeline is never gonna end because Nintendo is just gonna fuck the timeline up.

  • I can so imagine people playing Skyward sword, finding out something that shatters the timeline theory, and going "OOOOOOOOOOOHHHH EMMMM GEEEE!!!"

  • ... you have A LInk To The Past in two places... and Four Swords in two places?

  • Why couldn't they just release games in chronological order.?!

    Dumbasses. >:b

  • did anyone watch GT timeline theory.

    That one was very interesting

  • Wrong seal for WW and ALttP. The WW seal was the Master Sword. In ALttP, he's stuck in the Dark World (formally the Golden World).

  • Very interesting timeline list. And it's probably for the best to split the adult and young link into two alternate universes to make more sense out of it.

By the way - are you also annoyed by what I am when it comes to Twilight Princess? See, I am annoyed by the fact that Ganondorf is so slapped in to the climax of the game - AND the final battle you have with him is as Ganondorf; NOT Ganon, his by far more powerful true form... that's just lame, IMO. What do you think?

  • now that skyward sword phantom hourglass and spirit tracks are out...runins the whole thing

  • @zachbell264 Not really. They fit in perfect.

  • @Jusekai how? spirit tracks is in the adult timeline when A) hyrule waters receited, or B) they just made a new hyrule. so nothing changes?

  • @Jusekai can you do another part showing how please because im a bit confused adding them in it. PLEASE

  • @Jusekai how???

  • @Jusekai Actually, Spirit Tracks Splits the adult timeline YET AGAIN, since they start a new kingdom.

  • @Jusekai are you gonna add the new games?

  • @1Deminator Yes, after Skyward Sword comes out.

  • @zachbell264 skyward sword isn't out yet....

  • @zachbell264 skyward sword isnt out.

  • just because ganon uses the same weapon in a couple games doesn't mean they have to be consecutive.... your an idiot

  • It was made 2 years ago, almost 3 i'm sure, but you really did your research, that's respectable. Even if it came to me, i would never have gotten past the obvious of Ocarina Of Time, and Majora's Mask. That's alll i ever got. Haha. And then soon to come is, Skyward sword, which apprently takes place before Ocarina Of time, which i think is impposible because he looks like he does in Twilight Princess.

  • One question,in this timeline were does spirit tracks goes??

  • @CFMC96 this timeline was made year before it was released, that's the answer.

  • But if you play Oricale ages or seasons again so a second play trough and enter a code you play the revived ganon

  • Now I wanted to play the whole timeline in this row .D

  • Hey don't take this as negative, just kind of constructive criticism. For four swords adventure, you say that perhaps the water receded and they settled the lands of Hyrule again. That is fine, however, you later say the triforce was not in the game do to it being underwater. If enough land were exposed to settle the lands again, the sea level would probably be low enough that the top of Ganon's tower would be exposed where the triforce/Ganon/master sword were. I'll pm you regarding lttp issues

  • i saw no real flaws, you had supporting back up, and it all made sense. In links awakening i noticed that aginahm and ganon are nightmares, but vaati is also!

  • VERY perfect timeline, for one thats your personal opinion o_o

  • 1:10

good point there... i was like BS U FACE GANNON

    but then yeah haha

  • It kind of makes sense to me how Link's Awakening can take place after Zelda II. But other that that it's pretty screwy really.

  • NICE JOB MAN... I NEVER REALLY LOOKED AT IT. BUT WHAT YOU SAY MAKES SENSE

    KUDOS!!! XD

  • This makes perfect sense best timeline ever

  • Comment removed

  • The Link in spirit tracks is the link from phantom hourglass aka wind waker links grandson cuz niko is his step grandpa cuz u can get th shield from wind waker in spirit tracks

  • Why is the triforce put together in OoA and OoS, if it's after TP? Link and Zelda's decendents would still have their 'Forces, and Power would just be lyin' around somewhere.

  • It's also said that the new Skyward Sword will be between 4 Swords and Ocarina of Time. Apparently the Skyward Sword IS the master Sword, so it would show the origins of it came to be.

  • Comment removed

  • But I heard that the man himself (Shigeru Miyamoto) said in an interview that Link to the Past was the last story in the entire timeline. He made this statement sometime after Orcarina of Time was released

  • @GraveRoda It could not be the last story in the entire timeline, cause they are not fininshed the series. Shigeru Miyamoto might have something else planned?

  • Ahh, this makes so much more sense now!

  • lol i think i would put spirit tracks after four swords adventure

and skyward sword after four swords. What about the old cartoon because i imagine it takes place before the original. @tnzski i agree it is kind of creepy

  • where would spirit tracks go?

  • Spirit tracks would be after phantom hourglass because in the beginning and old Niko tells a new link about the events in phantom hourglass

  • the real conclusion: the villians in this series just dont give up.

  • Hey where would you put spirit tracks?

  • A sequel to Zelda 2 needs to be released! Thumbs up if you agree

  • @Dgamer21 no

  • @Dgamer21 zelda 3 link goes on an epic journey to find the storyline and restore peace in the minds of gamers

  • @iamputingarandomname ha ha. Yeah that's pretty good! lol
