im a upcoming dj and i was wondering if u think i should purchase this item?? and also is there any problems you have with the system?? can you also make a video talking and showing the pitch and keylock....thanks bro
Shutting off the motor cancels the control (no jog no adjustmentsno inturruption to audio) so basically no manual munipulation to the audio even when u turn the platter.
screw that bro i would have found a brand new one..they tried to sell me the display i was like to hell with that so i drove an extra 50 miles to another store to get one straight out of the actual shipping box lol
I fyou are using the NS7. You will not need a sound card. The drivers will install the one built into the NS7 and your audio output from ITCH will go out from the NS7
hey ahh im about to get a setup and i saw the vieo where you had the idj2 and the NS7. im new at this but have used the idj2 at bestbuy and it was easy to manage. the question is if i could only get one which one would it be? the NS7 or iDJ2. and if i can connect my ipod to the NS7 to do what you can with the iDJ2. Thanks
@JFPN44 the iDJ2 is great as a stand alone or with other devices. You can not really compare the two to each other. However keep in mind that the NS7 was designed to work with Serato and is potientialy more expandable by adding hardware such as the NSFX (and I suspect more will come both in the form of hardware and software). As you saw I personally have both if compact and simple (get the job done) is what you need then iDJ2. If you want to take over the world and more then NS7 ;)
Hey I'm deciding if i want to go into the DJing industry and did a little research on setups, so one of my options right now is the numark NS7 which I've heard a LOT of good stuff about it and I was wondering if it was a good fit for a first time setup cuz even though its expensive it may give me a good bang for my buck in the long run. So ya give me your opinion on it plz and if u've got any tips for noobs or helpful sites plz be sure to mention em! :D
The NS7 (In my opinon) has not only raised the bar but has remapped the digital word a whole new level by first catering to any level DJ offering the familiar controls to the CD generations as well as Vinyl and even Mp3 Computer controlled DJ genrations Not only making it not only a professional work of art but also an essential tool for todays modern DJ.
The fact that Numark and Serato took years into research before its deployment gives us the confidence to use it on any level. Proof would be the use at this years DMC.
I myself use it in various enviroments such as clubs, public events, parties etc... including studio recording. As far as forums and other users there are several out there (some you will find I am a member of myself)
(PM me I will give u links)
In short I love my NS7 and would definately recommend it to anyone.
Numarks Virtual Vinyl is simular to Serato Scratch Live in the fact that it uses a hardware Interface/Decoder and Time coded records. in short the quality of the Analog to Digital system is very good and compliments well with Virtual DJ users who want a better feel and more control over their mixes or performances.
esco im a complete noob but im about as passionate as they come...ive been using traktor pro and am ready for my first controller and i was deadset on the hercules rmx but im pretty sure in the near future im going to need to step it up to something like this..should i learn on the rmx and go from there or save up a little longer and get the ns7?
The Hercules RMX is great. Especially with VDJ 6. I love it beacuse I can hop on a plane and do my remixes in a professional manner (and record it).
If you are a serious Club DJ or pro, semi or other (even a n00b) and demand the professional look and feel of vinyl I would say "break your piggy bank and get an NS7". Check it out first hand your local Guitar Center should have one. This way you see first hand if this is what you want to get in to.
wow changed the game single handedly im getting one and i retired sold all of my gear 10 yrs ago, this is the one that ive been waiting for for almost 15 yrs!!! bravo numark bravo clap clap
GettoNike The NS7 has looping and you can control and adjust the length of the loop on the fly You can also choose between Automatic or Manual setting of the loop point and even shift your selected loop point. Also you can cut by halves or double your loop segment.
Yes there is looping Both Manual and AutoMatic you can extend manually the loop or automatically extend the loop by one beat measure increments or halve the loop by half measure increments. I will do a video of this later.
You have two modes you can select by toggleing a switch locatd on the Mixer surface segment (where are governed by the software which will allow it to work one way or the other) You will either hear "Master" or Channel-1 Channel-2
I just wanted to help others who are interested or are considering the NS7. I tried to make it short as possible (had quite a bit to cover) There is a part 2 also which is a run through with the unit powered and Serato itch running.
Personally I give it two thumbs up due to quality and design, the amount of room given (you are not bumping the patters while adjusting mids etc, and how closely it relates to vinyl tables. Great job Numark!
Ok two questions, does this come with Itch built in, and does Itch give u the effect of drop ins?

Hi djesco075.
Is headphone slider midi or analogic control ? thanks
HACKlD 2 years ago
The slider is both. Heres why:
You have two modes you can select by toggleing a switch locatd on the Mixer surface segment (where are governed by the software which will allow it to work one way or the other) You will either hear "Master" or Channel-1 Channel-2
