He probably has the "low friction" on. You can find it in the coaster options area when you are building a roller coaster in RCT3 Platinum. If you don't have Platinum, you can use a cheat - I don't know what it is.

I just bought this game. I haven't played a RCT game since like.. 2000 [the original, bad with timelines!] I would have still been playing it but when I upgraded my computer, it wouldn't install, saying it's too powerful for it. =[ I was so upset! But this video inspired me to get it again! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME! Great ride. :)

how did you get the view of the people on the coaster i have this game i'm GREAT at it but i still don't know some things. I don't get how when you make some tracks that go high on teh coasters, teh cars on the coaster don't end up going up the higher tracks they just fall back down :( if you got any tips just tell me on my channel XD

@ fetchfilms. You dont download snow. what you do is go onto 'toggle environment' and then you click the hill toggle thingy and there should be a sectoin were u get to choose colour. (in your case; white)

@laptoplover16 I use the in-game recorder. Just press Ctrl + Shift + F11 to start/stop the recording! It'll be a little slow because it records frame by frame, but the quality is great when it's done!

@fetchfilms The snow that I used for this video is from Moki's Winter Wonderland set, which you can download from the Atari Forums. Just search for the set, and follow the link to Moki's website from the thread. Then you can place it in the proper folders and use it in game! @bbdogrocks13 RCT3 Platinum is a combo pack: it contains the original game (RCT3) and both expansion packs (Soaked and Wild). RCT3 is very cheap now, I think you can find it for about $5. But if you have the extra money, I strongly suggest you buy RCT3 Platinum for about $30. If you want to know more about Platinum, send me a PM and I can explain it more.

If you downloaded the game file from Atari, then that's the only way for you to play it—that file is not able to be burned onto a CD. Same thing with the game disk, you can't copy those files onto another CD. If that doesn't answer your question, feel free to send me a PM and I can try again! No, the block brake that I used at the end of the lift hill is available to all coasters in RCT3, regardless of which expansion pack you have. You can place a block brake by clicking on the icon near the station button. Send me a PM if you want some more tips/help!

Thanks! Yes, you can make swimming pools with the RCT3 Soaked expansion pack, which is included in Platinum. Long story short, RCT3 Platinum gives you everything you'll ever want in the game!

Oh God, I hate alpine coasters; back in the day with RCT1, they were ALWAYS the coasters that crashed if you didn't build them right the first time. I still remember thinking, "OMG, this is gonna be so awesome!" and then seeing the train flying off the track and taking all its passengers with it a few seconds later. Good times.

RCT1 is fun! The guests are all numbered instead of named, so you don't feel as bad about killing some of them off when you get bored - and they actually DO die, not like the ones here where they just get back up and keep walking. You can put them on a roller coaster of death, or leave them for too long on a malfunctioning carousel, or pick them up with the hand tool and drop them in a nearby body of water and watch them drown (they can't swim, either)... And you're welcome. <.<

They are catwalks from the set called "ATH's Catwalks and Accessories." Just download them from the Atari Forums (I don't know where the download site is exactly, but if you find the page on the forums you should be able to find it from there), and once you've installed the set, you can place the catwalk pieces like any other scenery item.

I didn't do anything special, really. This type of coaster is called an "Alpine Coaster." Smooth turns and transitions are a part of its nature, just experiment and you'll see what I mean. All you see here can pretty much be summed up by: straight piece, turn piece, helix piece. Very simple design, but fast and smooth, like you said.

I used a block brake at the top of the hill to launch the car at the beginning of the ride. Where you would click to build a station piece there are three other special pieces: brakes, block brakes, and photo pieces. Brakes just slow the car down, and block brakes have the capability to stop the car (only if "block section" is enabled) and then launch it at the speed you set. Just be sure to leave enough space so that the car gets off the chain lift before it hits the block brake!

Yes, and that's the mode I build all these coasters in. As you probably already know, sandbox is the mode with no time or money limits, and gives you the full-size map to build on.

If you have the original and both expansions, you technically have "Platinum." Gold is the original with the Soaked expansion only, Platinum comes with all three. What's so great about platinum is that the Wild expansion pack gives you the ability to build tunnels and the sacred Extended Coaster; definitely worth the extra money!

In that case, you have "RCT3 Platinum." RCT3 Platinum is a combo of the original game plus both expansion packs on one disk. So if you got both expansion packs separately, you still have all the contents of Platinum.
