i got that same problem, lil earthquake made my 360 move a bit and i heard a loud screech in the tray......brand new 4hour old call of duty 6 in there.....now i can go all the way to the menu and look around a bit in the game, but the second i try playing a mission/online/operations that pops up. That too...but i heard theres a way to take of the seal...you have to use special tools...so it will look like you never took it off

Ok what i heard from a lot of people is that its the laser and it might be dirty...you can fix it buy opening of your xbox and cleaning the lens of the laser with a q-tip and some rubbing alchohal...and it should work just fine but what ever you do don't EVER EVER touch the laser with your finger it will mess it up!!! so yeah hope this helps and you can also look it up on youtube by tying in "how to clean xbox360 laser"-hope this helps

Fair enough, but Fallout 3 and Left for Dead are yet again exapmples of games also coming for PS3 which will lokk graphically better and be more fluid in general cuz of the power of the console. Ok, I'll be happy to tell you your problem. Its either 1 of these 4.

1: The lens is scuffed.

2: The magnet that is inside the top of the drive is not working right.

3: The motor needs some lube.

4: It is a hard ware failure and needs replaced.

I aint a fan boy of either, although, i'll always have a Nintendo, but even though i did diss PS3, that was mainly for its lack of great games, but now look how much its caught up. The way i see it.... the Playstation 3 has not even started, while 360 seems to have almost finished its journey. Its greatest achievment is Xbox Live, i doubt it will get better than that on 360. If PS3 had online like 360, there would barely be any comparison, but as i said, the PS3 is just a baby: its catching up.

I believe that in roughly one year, the xbox will be struggling behind the PS3. The 360 has had enough time to shine, and the only great achievement that really got its sales up high was Halo 3 and to a lesser extent GOW! But your comparing a teenager to a baby, which is what PS3 is atm. Ok. I appreciate your opinion, and i do not own one... yet. I have an xbox 360 and thier pretty dope. Graphically, they dont compare to PS3, but online is best on it. But name a couple of dope games besides Halo 3 and GOW that arent already on the Playstation 3 that are better graphically and are more fluid and less glitchy than what they are on 360. Your talkin about a console that is 1 year and half late to the game and already has almost as much games with better graphics. Just give it time.
