What a lovely song!!!! Honestly I've never heard a song that Merrill has ever sang that wasn't great, but this one is just extremely beautiful. It has so much meaning it seems that not very many people take their marriage vows seriously at all. Do you know if it's available anywhere on CD? I have both of there country albums from the 80's , actually the only country albums/cds' in my collection are those two and Marie's .Thanks again for sharing this with us lynjef7.
Just so lovely to hear a man (Merrill!) express such feelings out loud. Don't know who wrote the song, but I think ALL the Osmonds have bought into the words/values.. and I love them/appreciate them not only for their music but for the profound impact they've had on our culture. Love really is about deep caring, and - even during the hard times, even as we get old/fat/not so sexy, caring enough to be Staying Together!
