Ironically...in the original japanese cartoon,the robot Cy-Kill is based on,is a GOOD guy... he's awesome,i got him with the box... :)

Now I wish I had gotten one of these back in the day, this Cy-Kill toy looks pretty cool! I used to get the Transformers toys back then, and never really thought about Gobots toys that much. Transformers toys seemed cooler to me, and everybody I knew at the time had one. Plus, I was of the thought that the Gobots were cheap Transformers knockoffs, too, Never knew that they (The Gobots) came out first. Anyway, those days are gone now, but kinda wish I had gotten one of these back then:)

go-bots were cool back in the day!!! i used to watch the Bozo show on WGN in Chicago, you never knew when they were going to air an episode of the go-bots. it was always a treat when they did. the go-bots are a pretty cool childhood memory so quit hating on them and comparing them 2 the transformers jag-bags.

They're similar due to being transforming robots, that originated in japan, but Go-Bots were owned by Tonka I believe and Transformers by Hasbro the line didn't much have much of an impact and the the 1990's Hasbro bought Tonka and their rights

In the original Japanese Machine Robo anime, Bike Robo is one of the good guys. Hanna-Barbera fo some odd reason made him a villain in their Gobots cartoon.

@SAGAIA2 The Gobots cartoon came first in October 29 1984. The Machine Robo Revenge of Cronos didn't air in Japan til July 3 1986 when Transformers had air in Japan. It air in France under the name La Revanche des Gobots(Revenge of Gobots)

Wonderful character, that Cy-Kill. I just love the name for how hilariously bad it is. XD And he's relatively easy to recreate - I've seen a few TF kitbashes that look absolutely perfect. Two of which were Animated Oil Slick (who looks as though he has a very similar transformation? Reference?)
