Well, indeed, Ridley was on that list of fan-voted characters, but that doesn't mean he actually had a shot or was planned to be playable. Additionally, that poll was actually unrelated to this rumor.

Sakurai said in an interview with Nintendo Power that if they'd really tried and thrown all their effort behind it, they could've made him playable, but he didn't think it'd have been worth it simply because of all that effort for one character that might not have turned out that great after all.

In SSB 64, they rarely shrank ANYTHING. It's the only SSB game in history that has a life size Starfox ship (the Great Fox. Btw, if Fox works with three other people, than why does he name everything after himself? I never got that...).

Because the Wii version is a mirror image of the Gamecube version, everything is flipped over. The game was developed initially for Gamecube, so that version is the "real" one in terms of consistency with the series.

Link is still left handed in Twilight Princess, just everything in the Wii version is back to front.

And uh, following your point about icons, unless I got mixed up, there's Brawl icons 16-18, 20, and 22. Since the original and Melee go up to 14, that means that we're missing 15, 19, and 21. Now, let's take the 'final roster' that has been leaked. There are only 2 franchises not announced so far in there, F-Zero and whatever ROB is from. Which means there's still at least 1 more character.

Oops...Just remembered, F-Zero is an original, which would mean there's at least 2 more characters, but then I forgot that character icons aren't the only ones...Animal Crossing and the DS icon make 15 and 21, ROB makes the last one, so unless there's 23+ then that's exactly the final roster. Well, we THINK we know the final roster. There's no saying that that's the absolute complete roster. Now, the chances of it not being the final roster are slim to none, but I'm still hoping we can get another character.

Then again, I think we've already seen the 'last unlockable'. Now, on the screenshots we've seen, Wolf has 'new' next to him. Who's to say that Wolf was the last one unlocked? Maybe, the person hasn't played with him yet. Thus, I think ROB is the last unlockable.

Toon Link(Wind Waker) is official, Mr. G & W is official, Ganondorf has been shown and so have Falco. Luigi is pwned by Dedede in a movie sequence so most copycats are back and Wind Waker Link did came along. As for Ridley he's been shown as a boss not a character but I dunno he might be super ultra secret that takes a long time to unlock xD

Just because Mr. Game and Watch's icon has to be the last one doesn't meen he needs to be a character. There is always the possibility that ther is an item, level, or assist trophy from his game. Hell, they might even use the Game and Watch music that was featured in Melee. Ever think of that? I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying that you might not be right.

Well, it doesn't make sense to me that if Game and Watch content is in Brawl, that they'd remove G&W himself. It's like the whole Yoshi problem. We used to have Yoshi content in Brawl, but no confirmation of Yoshi himself.

I agree with that, but the Yoshi example contradicts your Ridley claim; there's Ridley content officially confirmed (his theme song and his stage, Norfair). You might argue in the case of Petey Pirannah as a boss, but no Petey Pirannah content had been confirmed before he appeared. Ridley's content appearing before he hypothetically does strongly suggests that Ridley himself will appear as playable, according to your Game & Watch inference.

Actually, Ridley is smaller then Samus is size, and wieghs just a bit more than Samus [who I believe is below average weight]. He could easily fit, and he was kinda skinny in the opening. Simply put, if Kirby is 8 inches tall and in SSB, and modded to be the same size as 5 foot tall children, why not make 10 foot tall Ridley 8 feet tall=??? After all, Ganondorf is well over 8 feet tall in Twilight Princess, lol.

Deconfirming this rumor doesn't mean Bowser Jr. won't be in Brawl.

Do remember that Sakurai said that Bowser would be the biggest and heaviest of the playable characters. Ridley, even in Melee's opening, was bigger than Bowser. Look what happened to Petey -- he was bigger than Bowser, and he's a boss. I'm still supporting my opinion.

Well, have you ever noticed how when you save an image, it already has a name? Well, the icons on Smash Bros. DOJO!! are images, and, when saved, their "names" have certain numbers in them, like the Mario universe icon being "world_b_10." The video should explain the rest.
