Considering the fact that Linda Stirling had been a fashion model and had never done any acting, horseback riding or singing before she came to Republic, she didn't do half bad. It was said that she made a good leading lady for Sunset because of her height and the fact that they seem to share a certain chemistry on screen.
I missed this shot from before. You can see her white bra showing through her blouse. Oh Linda, I would have thought the wardrobe mistress would have spotted that...or at least the director before the censor did.
I knew Linda Stirling, having met her at a couple of festivals. We corresponded for a time. She says that she did do her own singing on this, on the set and that the crew applauded when she was finished. The soundtrack was used as background for clips of her serial climaxes in the TV documentary, "The Republic Story."
i actually have some articles where she states that she did sing this....the recording was done in one take...for the film i'm sure she lip synched to her own vocals...long live LINDA'S films ..she will never be forgotten ...JON
