Prohibition could succeed today because law enforcement is so much stronger.
Homeland securitity can find a suitcase bomb, so a barrell of rum is no challenge, and a barrell of cocaine or heroin is far more lucrative. Just don't outlaw all alcohol. Beer, wine, and expensive liquors okay. Cheap liquor? Tax it prohibitively. The conclusion above is wrong.
Say you're for cheap liquor okay, but don't say it can't be done. It can.
@matt605 It can't be done. Look at this country's current War on Drugs for a good example. Its a total failure and all it does it turn people into criminals for the simple consumption of the drug.

wow crasy stuff but now taxes pay millios a year they are doing the same thing now cigarettes they cost $13 in a store but out side you can buy that same thing for $8 ther they open doors for theme again
What would be better, and more life-saving, is to do a film on how the same people, right now, are profiting from Middle-Eastern War contracting, The war on drugs profit-taking, the prison building and private management or slave-labor, and how these things are completely inter-connected in very obvious ways; politicians are bought, military weapons contractors and prison building is the only "jobs" provided at the moment. Country starves = nobody watches your films. Money = where mouth is.
"What a stupid idea it was that people actually thought you could get away with this. That you could actually ban [marijuana, mushrooms, lsd, heroin, mdma, etc.] and completely eliminate its usage in American society. What a preposterous idea."
@DeePhlat Exactly, banning anything outright will never work if you fail to address the reasons why people want it! Prohibition didn't do anything about the reasons why people wanted to drink, it actually added a new reason to drink: defiance of a stupid law.
Misandrist pornography.
