That back finger control is interesting. Gavin Harrison explains in one of his clinics (can be found on youtube) he does his ghost notes with the back fingers. Probably it's the same thing you explained.
This is so weird, I just made this groove up yesterday while I was working on some latin stuff, and I happened across this video by complete chance today! Odd!
@pfefftube These were great, mate. But I have to say, no matter how much you deny it, there's no way that the noise at 0:47 came from your throat haha ;D Again, thanks for the lessons!
parts 1 and 2 are just great videos. The B. Greb shuffle is a great exercise to work on coordination. I try to exagerate the motions of my limbs to get this groove clean and dynamically. You are a great drummer and teacher and I like your videos.
great vid joe do you know much about 16th note high hat funky pattern? there is one which all the motown drummers used its incredably funky with accents cud u possibly teach it? its on the record of the temptations a song called cloudcloud nine
You are not only great player, but you explain things really well and the video is well produced. Also, it is refreshing to see a video without nasty and insulting comments! Let's keep it that way!!!
Killer lesson! It was a lot of fun learning this!!

@pfefftube I'd like to *see* too. :-)
Here is the link I found: watch?v=fty8yWNUOm0 . The trouble is, his hand is not visible because of camera angle.
