hmm this was a while ago. The STi was in Street Modified 4 (SM4) so i believe i was on some Kumho ASX all season tires. Rally tires are not permitted in this category.

Me too, but unfortunately i did not have any external mics recording this day. The only audio was from the onboard recorders inside the glovebox. Not exactly high quality audio.

buy an el cheapo mic and plug it in to your recorder with a long(ish) audio cable. Its how I was able to record from inside my intake to get some interesting sounds. Plus it eliminates any rattles from tape heads shaking.
