We cannot know yet, how Kerrigan become the savior of universe (I think it's a stupid plot from the Blizzard to save this character) but I think it is connected with her control over the Swarm. That Voice in the Dark and his hybrid can only destroy the universe if they have a vast army aka the zerg. But if Kerrigan lives, he cannot take control of them for some reason. This thing with Kerrigan was planned by the Overmind.
