AK, doing his signature tune, backed up by the band that (at least in name) did more, directly or indirectly, to (re-)introduce his music to America than anyone.
John Mayall: The Miles Davis of Rock.
Mick Taylor: The third member of one of Rock's Two Great Guitar Triumvirates.
(Major Clue, if necessary: Eric Clapton is the only member of BOTH of those.)
CAPITOL THEATER WAS THE first concert I ever went to ! i think it was about 1976? I saw mountain. was awesome those were the days"...the sound quality was great in that place
@RemoteAbductionArm you don't have to be a blues man to love this stuff, but if like me, this is heaven on earth listening to some of the best music ever put on this planet
Luke Skywalker on drums! Lmao! Someone asked what the bass player is doing. Best I can figure is "it". What ever "it" is. Which is more than I can say for the rest o' the guys!
@MrSixstringjohnny ....Don't understand how you can possibly think that :/ if he laid back anymore than how he was, you wouldn't be able to hear it. The bass sounds perfect.
@MrSixstringjohnny Please he's the only guy driving the groove so the soloists can play out front. The drummer's not doing a damn thing and Mick isn't playing rhythm at all. If it wasn't for the bass player this would have turned into soup
the only "king" afaic! you can tell he really loves mick here because he keeps trying to prod him into playing. & mick doesn't disappoint. he's SO high, though; poor guy. he let the stones rob him of so much. the only GOOD guitar player they ever had...
Very cool.

I agree with you. Mick Taylor's playing suited Albert more than anyone else. Taylor has that special feel & tone that is so rare among hundreds.
taildragger53 2 years ago 2
@badmuddy indeed Jagger had style mick had feel and feek is so much more important.
