  • Man, it´s as loud as as conventional one.

  • @blablupp77 This was posted 4 years ago. It was a 'proof of concept'. Csaba is not developing an electric ppg any more, but others have and the props may well be much less noisy.

  • in 30 years time this video will look strange. People will ponder the primitive notions of flight..:-)

    But nonetheless, great effort..!!

  • what progress has been made with this and the cost of the batteries?

  • azért a cigi befigyel :)

  • i would love to know how long that battery last during the flight.

i have been thinking to make one for my hang glider

i need information regarding the motor and battary and other parts that you got for it

i really thak you very much for your great work

thats the dream of every pilot

  • I like the idea of an electric PPG, but the downside is that you can't just fill it up and keep going.

  • Newer batteries will have much faster charging times. The technology is being developed. Just recently an article in 'New Scientist' magazine hinted that fast charging batteries will be commercial in the next year or two.

  • @mandrewsvideos already it would be possible to build a battery system that would charge up in 30 mins or so. The problem at the moment is cost.

If you had the budget you could own 2 or 3 battery packs, have 1 or 2 charging whilst you flew the other, and stay up flying all day.

If you had a battery pack that would charge up in the same kind of time you could fill a fuel tank you would need a good connection to the national grid or a really powerful generator to get it charged that quickly.

  • @mandrewsvideos: Now develop the sail & pilot's uniform to have flexible solar-cells + combine with a small prototype 'bloom-box' and you have constant power being supplied to the batteries. ;)

  • good work, lithium will just get better and less costly the more we buy and use them.

I have an Rmartin electric assist bicycle and have gone over 50 miles , it's just a 7 lb battery, total bicycle cost with electric and battery including charger was only $799

  • what is the motor and battery packs? neat machine

  • Search "electric ppg" Google

  • Is Csaba a hungarian who lives in USA?

  • Hungarian living in Canada, at least he was last time I saw him...

  • I have been looking for this PPGing answer everywhere, nothing: I am 189cm tall and weigh 115kg. Am I too heavy? Please PM me! CCC

  • You are not too heavy, but you will need a big unit and a large wing.

  • and you live lot longer if you lose 20 kilo!!!!

  • do you sell electric ppg? how much do you think it could cost at shop?thanks

  • I don't sell eppg. I just know the guy that made this prototype. That's it.

  • look on endless sphere ev forums for latest battery technology, I have a lithium polymer for $430 delivered, it weighs 9 kg, 48 V 20 ah...

  • Showing less talking and more flying would help the video...

  • This is one of several videos. There are others on this channel and also on my website.

  • Powerful, but what of the Electro Magnetic Frequency emission? easy to test... is that cell burnin' yo buns?

solar painting the top sail would resolve EMF issue!

    .

  • Further to my last comment, moller dot com. Ignore the wacko web site and click through to Freedom Motors (moller dot com/engi.htm). He reckon 2HP/lb. I don't know if that's good or not...

  • I am not in a position to judge. Csaba might know more.

  • What about Paul Moller's motors? He's a complete quack, but I believe his motors have been commercialised, so they are available and work.

  • hello there, very interesting unit. I have been looking into the feasibility of electric paramotors and also the use of diesel units too. high torque, low rpm(no need for re-drive) and fuel consumption look good for diesel but i've yet to find a manufacturer with a light enough motor to make a viable unit.

  • Szia Csaba,

mi a súlya ennek a hátimotornak?
