well, besides that.. I'm just overwhelmed by the number of dvd software options, both free and commercial, plus, all the varying advice as to which programs are best, and what seems to be several other software options for specific tasks not including in the other programs, or, do it better than those others. Not to mention the dozens of places one can go for conflicting advice.

Information overload!.. I just gave up on even trying, as I've got enough to do as it is!

Actually.. I can use the excuse that "I was going to, but others have now filled the void" in the last couple of months.. because they really have! Just plug in the words "PJ Harvey" and these: "civil war correspondent" and "my beautiful leah" and "I think I'm a Mother"(which this latter one has the song "Is This Desire?" piggybacked with an interview segment in between).

Thanks.. I'll try to get a couple more up from that session. Length of the songs might be a problem though, as I don't have a means to compress all that much, as I'm limited to what my digital camera can do in that dept. and youtube has a rather small file size limit.

I bought a dvd burner a year ago, but I don't have the patience & time to research all the procedures for ripping, etc. That would, of course, be the ideal way to do this sort of thing.

No inputs on the camera...if you do just hook up a vcr to it and use moviemaker in windows xp to create your clip.

thanks. lol, I never knew about moviemaker until you mentioned it, now I see that it comes with XP.

In any case, there are no compatable hookups/inputs on my computer to take from a vcr (s-video, composite or anything like that). Besides, I would still need to find a way to compress, but it doesn't look like moviemaker has that function.
