  • Of course it's Eddie! It's no one else-the face is enough but add the SHIRT in, not to mention his laughing at himself, and, well... I remember when this was first aired...Reardon hadn't been on the Simpsons all that long at the time.

  • Actually, according to the commentary on that episode ("Itchy and Scratchy and Marge"), it was based on a cartoonist who is NOT Eddie Fitzgerald (I think it was Tuck Tucker).

  • Naw, it was me. Tuck (who by the way is one of my favorite people) doesn't look like that and the shirt is a purple and black one that I used to wear all the time. If a commentary said something else, it might have to do with the fear of the company that I'd sue for using my likeness, which I'd never do.

  • Jim Reardon directed this episode. I believed he worked with Eddie on Bakshi's "Mighty Mouse" and "Tiny Toons", so I would guess he's the reason why he appears.

  • I listended to that commentary. Matt Groening thought it was Moore but he got it confused with another guy another background caricature. He mentions the fact that Sam Simon worked with Eddie at Filmation. I think one of the commentators corrected Matt.

Then again, Matt Groening is an idiot with not a clue.

  • really?

  • Sometimes I miss TV.

  • I had no idea!

  • Wow! Thanks a million for finding that and putting it up1 I'm always telling people I was on the Simpsons and no one believes me. Now I can prove it!

  • Eddie, you rock!
