Nice run. The zx14 was basically stock. 2 cats in the stock pipes, and one at the header collector. Would of like to see a lightly modded zx14 go against the gtr. A zx14 with full race exhaust & power commander would of made things more interesting. Plus, a stock zx14 is speed limited to 186mph.
@morbus74 yea a zx-14 is fast, but a Switzer GT-R.... its like a 900 hp GT-R... and its Expensive to get one, you buy a stock GT-R and then send it off to get steriod injections. its just about as fast as a Veyron.
Good race and nice performance on the ZX-14 that still have its diapers on (Stock off the showroom floor - factory pipes, engine not broken in, wax on tires). It SHOULD take a car of that performance level to put havoc on a ZX-14. I have a ZX-14 too.... but it is not stocked >:).

You CAN NOT beat the zx14 for the price a 13000 dollar bike is beating a car that costs 90,000 STOCK plus atleast another 30,000 if you put 10,000 into that 14 nothing will out accelerate it. Oh and btw its a ZX14 the ZX14R is the 2012

The damn thing still had the dealer temporary tags and the gay exhaust pipes (engine probably not broken in too). The ZX-14 ryder seemed unskilled and skiddish also. Still..... Um ok,first of all guy bike CAN NOT RIDE..Who sits up right while power shifting every gear..should be alot closer of a race..second depending on what gear (especially bottom of 3rd) he's gonna get smoked off the line on a roll on..
Anything above a litre wasn't designed for racing. The ZX14R, the legendary Hayabusa; none of them are racing bikes. They're "Sports-cruisers", with sport styling & high-capacity engines with a lot of low-down torque for touring. The upright riding position is testament to this.
Engine capacity doesn't always translate into speed. Depends on how the engine uses that capacity.
Would like to see this race with an MV Agusta F4RR.
The F4RR and the RSV4 may fair better if the road were not straight. However, for out right straight line speed, they would have faired worse. ZZR1400 and Busa are king for straight line speed.
Learn y'all power to weight ratios...race was completely fair. ZX-14= 6-750lbs w/rider! power=190-201hp. If ya multiply all that by 4(no. of tires) you wind up right around that gtr's territory. Wearing my full leather suit as apposed to overalls and a jacket make a 10mph top speed different on my R1. Aerodynamics is huge on bikes.
Install a turbo, another exhaust system, on the specific bike, try some other wheel sprockets, reprograme it & film it again. If it sounds expensive ask the gt owner how much did the car's tuning cost.....

The bike backs out or rolls off virtually every time. Looks to me like the bike has a slight edge at low speed, and the car has a slight (and growing) edge at over 240k. As a ZX14 owner myself, that sounds about right.
How much does a stock R35 cost? How much has been spent over and above that to turn it into a P800? Now how much would a ZX14 cost?

@Suprastar77 busas can do about 320 but the acceleration is fairly weak right up at the top end in standard form. this was an unfair race to begin with for two reason 1. the bike's standard .doesn't even have a decent exhaust. 2 the biker was a fool to agree to a rolling start - he shoulda insisted on a standing start and then smoked the car.and yes , he was a bit of a shit rider.

@aeravelly In the long run it won't make any difference if Casey Stoner or Ricky Gadsen is riding the bike. The ZX 14 tops at 299 kph and this modded Nissan, about 330 kph. The owner knew this before he started the race so the outcome was a foregone conclusion. So why did he film a foregone conclusion and post it on YouTube? Ego. This car's straight line performance has nothing to with skill or intelligence. Any licenced driver could achieve this performance in a straight line. It's an auto.

I love how people will always bring up cost of a bike vs a car, obviously bikes cheaper there's fuck all on them, expensive cars are expensive because they cost so much to build, to be strong, safe, light as possible and powerful! @afr126 no its not. they intrduced the ZX-14R merly months be4 the introduction of the gentlemens agreement which restricted the new busa which was out to eat the ZX14R like it did to the blackbird. if the restritors were taken off the haybusa would dominate merly because its lighter,lower and was more BHP than the ZX14R. the ZX-14R only has 200cc more than the busa. thats its only perk

The rider is not even wearing leathers, and he's using the clutch on up-change. Hardly what I'd call an advanced rider.
The bike backs out or rolls off virtually every time. Looks to me like the bike has a slight edge at low speed, and the car has a slight (and growing) edge at over 240k. As a ZX14 owner myself, that sounds about right.
How much does a stock R35 cost? How much has been spent over and above that to turn it into a P800? Now how much would a ZX14 cost?

@Suprastar77 not really true. a decent rider might eke a bit more out of it but the car will always have the advantage above 250kmh. race from a standstill and it'll smoke the car.

@TheBr4nch No. the bike in this vid can reach speeds well over 320km/h, its as good as the hayabusa. aand only a few people can actualy push the bike that far. as far as im concerned the rider is too scared to go flatout becase ive seen many of these bikes being flipped because they twist the throttle too much from a rolling start at 100km/h. i know that bikes can outrun cars except for highspeed cars like the veyron. just remember. a bike will always win.

@Suprastar77 What you need to remember is that you are talking nonsense , frankly . the bike has better power to weight , which means it has better acceleration ,but weight has much less affect on top speed , other factors limit that , like drag , where the bike also has an advantage but the car has much more power (but not power to weight) and also the bike looks to be fairly standard. whereas the car clearly isn't. to be on par above 250kmh would take something like 350bhp - turbo busa or zx

@TheBr4nch ok. yea i may have exaturated a bit on the 350km/h but i know the busa is capable of 320km/h and no im not talking nonsense because if u have seen motoGP those riders know how to tuck in properly thus reducing drag. and its not as if they have their head up the whole time dude. and the less weight the better up untill speeds like 380km/h so dont be saying i dont know shit and that im talking nonsense. plus i know the GTR is overpowered in this race and the fact that the bike kept up

@Suprastar77 busas can do about 320 but the acceleration is fairly weak right up at the top end in standard form. this was an unfair race to begin with for two reason 1. the bike's standard .doesn't even have a decent exhaust. 2 the biker was a fool to agree to a rolling start - he shoulda insisted on a standing start and then smoked the car.and yes , he was a bit of a shit rider.

guy on bike gets scared at high speeds also bike has stock exzaust .car is fast driver is good, however a good bike rider would win. i ride a 08zx14 its on youtube it runs 9.3 at 150 in the quarter and 204 in the mile .that car dont run 9 seconds and sure dont run 200mph next time try racin a racer .good stuff
