Is this game any good? I've never played any of the onimusha games before, but once I heard capcom was thinking of making another onimusha game for the ps3 I was intereted in the game. Do I need to get all the previous games in order to understand the story or can I just get number 3 and wait until onimusha for ps3 comes out?

@unrewritable It all depends on what character they use. For ps2 they made 4 onimusha games with 3 main characters in each one. But for onimusha 1 and 3 it was the same main character (samanosuke) and the same story line. # 2 branches off to a different story line with main character jubei and there are some references to samanosuke but he's not in it. #4 is the a completely different character, although samanosuke is in it but is not the main character. He just helps out here and there.

Samanosuke is not an actor, it's a character played by Takechi Kaneshiro.  And for Samanosuke, his real name is Akechi Mitsushide, a real samurai who lived in the 16th century feudal japan under the command of the daimyo Oda Nobunaga.

@PhilFilth Akechi Samanosuke isn't Akechi Mitsushide - Samanosuke is Mitsuhide's nephew. You acually meet Mitsuhide on the first level in Onimusha 3. Did you even play the games - they constantly say about the relation between the two of them. My advice - play them again - it's only for your good ;)
