Well Amsterdam used to be a great town, it has lost it's grandeur while cities like Paris did everything to bring back it's splendor. In Amsterdam politicians have spoiled it all. But when you do visit the NL try other places because if you've seen Amsterdam you haven't seen the NL that's a fact!!

I went to Amsterdam for vacation last summer. One word: DISAPPOINTED. Seriously, most boring place ever!!! clubs close sooo fucking early, and the Dutch are soooooooo annoying and all they wanna do is talk politics. Holland sucks nuts!!!!!!

I don't think I'll return to the Netherlands for a long time. It wasn't a bad place. I want to go to Italy for my next trip to Europe. One thing is for sure though, Amsterdam doesn't even compare to New York City. That's my favorite place.

@legionofwarriors it's not sand dummy, its seabed clay, the clay consists of ancient plant rests from the time the northsea was a great grass plain (the last ice age, you could walk to the britisch isles) this and our wet climate is what makes the land so fertile the few sandy soil places are natural occuring fenomenon.

erm, nope, sorry to say, but Holland is actually 2 provinces, North and South Holland, which happen to be the most represented areas of the Netherlands, therefore people could refer to the Netherlands as Holland.
