  • 0:43 - Engine is missing ! Oh wait ... never had one :)

  • color was changing that we can have 3d glasses :)

  • 0.17 reliant robin changes color

  • i hate hackers who cheat with color changing cars

  • it wasnt so 'reliant' after all was it? hahahaha

  • why arent the signal lamps flashing?

  • But the question is:

Is the car red or blue?

  • this video confirms all of my british stereotypes

  • hmm i dont think the signal lights on the crossing were working so its the railway operators fault and not the driver

  • Where did the engine go???

  • It can change colour! It's like one of those lamps that changes colour.

  • hahaha it was changing colors

  • Damn old people!!

  • wish my car flashed colours like that one :(

  • Thats how Chuck Norris turns his car!

  • as soon as I retire I'm giving up driving.

  • what a cool car that can change color from red to blue..*facepalm*

  • British people are so stupid an american would never do that

  • @superman5051 Wow. Seriously dude? Do you ever watch TV here in America?

  • check if the oil level is right first then you are ready to go !

  • is it in scotland ?

  • it is an electric train so motor well hidden

  • Where is the engine of the train????

  • stupid old cunt

  • asshole. Shame it's not been "terminated" and that is still around as a loose cannon

  • I love the way all trains seem to stop just after the crossing...

  • Is it a blue or a red Robin?

  • @aventus89 Red

  • the best part of the video? he looked under the hood.

  • The problem of the car is the red-blue flashing varnish. It was confusing the train engineer.

  • claasic example of bad eyesight he could not see the redlights and hearing coud not hear any warnings etc I am sure many many people drive around with bad eyesight...frightening

  • He must of had his wife in the engine compartment

  • 0:45 pffffft, it's the exact same.............

  • is that car red or blue

  • I bet you Mr. Bean was in the train lol

  • For fuck sake I didn't see that train coming in from the left either, I don't think it was the mans fault.

  • is the car blue or red?

  • @topmarkms Yes.

  • LMAO at the dude in the bottom screen, just watches and walks off ! then the dude just gets out of his car and checks the engine to blame the car for his mistake !

  • The Oldman "Oh why the hell did my engine stop? Maybe i have to check the oil"

  • The biggest problem here is that he wasn't even wearing a high-visibility jacket!

  • is dat car blue or red

  • @v8luver64 It's blue. The old guy is wearing a red shirt to confuse things.

  • Comment removed

  • I would drive my car in front of a train if I owned that piece of shit

  • poor old bugger didn't see the red lights

  • Where did this take place? everything in the video looks like it came off of a mr rogers set.

  • @Coldwinterful Bucknell, Shropshire. The station buildings would have hidden the train from the Reliant driver - all the more reason to pay attention to the lights!

  • yup!! the way how he pulled his phants up and walk.... he poop in them

  • *old guy gets out* "I guess we better swap insurance"

*conductor* " shut up old man"

  • Is he walking thay way cos he's old or because he just shat himself?

  • Yeah, not so fucking reliable now BITCH!

  • 0.44 ummmm uep thats an engine that is

  • this was on top gear

  • lol he wanted to commit suicide because he could only own a reliant robin lol

  • fucking old people should not be allowed on the road, don't care if that means they end up house bound, at least when they die they won't be taking others with them.

  • @smilinggoats Oh yeah, I'm sure your opinion won't change when you get to be old yourself......

  • Mr. Bean is driving the train..

  • I remember it well. I was the one actually driving the train that day, with Mr.Ackenthorpe-Hall as my co-pilot. Just a few seconds before the crash, the train's HyperDeltic Forcefield Indent Alarm (mk4) sounded, alerting me and my co-pilot that some good-for-nothing Reliant owner had engaged his Colour-Cycling-Field-Changer and was about to attempt a last minute acceleration over the open crossing at Milchester. Luckilly we engaged our Robin-Rotatorrater-Buffer-Basher just in time. Phew !!

  • stupid old man get out and checks the engine

  • @dummyspitter Actually, he resets the catch before closing the bonnet, which was knocked open at 0:17

  • Its funny how the guy on the path, points at the lights then just carries on his way LOL

  • those are hands down the best brakes ive ever seen on a train. maybe if grandpa had them in his tricycle he couldve avoided the train

  • Grandpa comes out and says: "MY CAR!!!!!, oh you little rat!"

  • Well thank god the plastic frame held up

  • He is checking that the engine is stolen or not! Foolish guy.

  • The maximum penalty for failing to stop at a railway crossing and hitting a train is five years in prison. Idiot!

  • *checks under hood*

    Damn. It still works.

  • hahaha thats funny!

    almost....

  • lol he more intrested in his car, if that would be me i would of been happy to off survived such a near death experience.

  • Reliant cars were stronger than you think. Look how it bounced off the train with little body damage! a small steel car would have buckled up under the train.

  • You really need to be unlucky to hit by a train in that

  • oh no, Mr. Bean...

  • man he is so fucking lucky

  • stupid old fart will probably say it wasn't his fault because the train was supposed to stop for the car.

  • lol that car got flat out PWND!

  • Red Robins, Yum!

  • @mecblc Don't, please! You're making me hungry!

  • Notice how the train's turquoise and tan colour are inversed when the camera becomes negative in colour.

  • WHAT! IT STAYED ON ALL 3 WHEELS!

  • uuuuuufffff.....

    Almost...

    rs

  • thats what you call old people driving good XD

  • why the signal off?

  • And the winner is....hahahahaha.

  • im impressed with how awesomely fast the train came to a complete stop

  • @12345JJBB I guess it is because it was a 2 car train and not a massive 40 car train.

  • @GargantulaKon Yaeh, thats probably right, I didnt even notice the first time but yeah

  • @12345JJBB The train was only doing 12 mph, having just left a station.

  • this video sucks so go kill your self for posting this

  • Apparently it still started and drove home. If only today's cars had such class.

  • And nothing of value was lost.

  • what cracks me up is 1 the old guy on foot carries on walking and 2 why dose the old git get out and check his engine???????????????...LOL

  • i want a color changing car.....

  • The RR clearly won! :D

  • IT CHANGES COLOURS!

  • Now where did I leave my white stick ? ah, I know, under the bonnet.

You get hit by a train then check the engine (to make sure it's still in one piece)!

Fucking priceless, this man ought to do the world a favour, surrender his licence and buy a bus pass !

  • epic

  • is that in holland ?

  • lol the man gets off the car and checks the engine, he should have pinched himself in the arm to make sure he was alive.

  • hes an old man hes probly blind

thats why he has a reliant robin

  • That's not a Robin

  • Lol idiot checking the engine

  • Lucky, lucky bastard

  • if you pause at the right moment it turns blue. or does if turn red?

  • old people are dumb

  • Says in the video "Never Say OAP's can't do handbrake turns!" Lol, this wasn't a handbrake turn. More like frontbrake turn with a help of a train. Also.. Fake!

  • We owned a Reliant Kitten (four wheels version of Robin sold as Dolphin in India) in 1984 i was a child then. In an accident it was crashed by a full speed jeep from behind, we all survived- thanks to the ladder frame chassis and fiber glass body. No surprise the same lay out of three wheeled Robin passed this crash on railway crossing with 5 stars. Look even the doors were not jammed at the end. can todays all steel cars with stand this side impact- I say no.

  • @xXxkaushalxXx Todays cars are only 50% steal, but Reliants were made better in terms of durability. Todays cars have crunch zones, 20 airbags, TC, stability control, but they're lacking in what really makes roads safe, decent drivers.

  • @Ryoku75

    I agree.

Reliant Kitten (sold in India with name Dolphin) with it's easy and rugged easy to repair layout helped me to learn basics of automobile during my early school days. It never broke on road, but after a massive crash we could not fix this car in it's original shape cos during 1984 spare parts were not available so easily as Sipani Automobiles (partner of Reliant in India) could not put it in market at right pace with only habdful of dealers in this big country.

  • @Ryoku75

Yet with what ever was available we got the car in good condition and clocked it till 50000 km. We used to repair our Dolphin(Kitten) modifying/altering parts from other car manufacturers. As of today I realize it all helped me to understand the basics of automobile. The thing I remember is it's sharp and direct steering which I never experienced in any of todays car, it was a favourite car in India to modify as track race car

    -- en.wikipedia(.)org/wiki/Sundaram_Karivardhan

  • @xXxkaushalxXx I think power steering takes away that direct feel, from my experience generally you have to turn the wheel more in a car with power steering then one without and while easier to turn I prefer having to turn it less to point the front wheels where I want them.

  • No i was too busy seeing my flashing red car...

    lol

  • this is why they should be a physical bar going down on ALL train crossings, but to save money people have to die.

  • a train cant tip it over, but mr. bean can.

    hmmm...

  • i like how it turns into blue

  • There was a problem with the time space continuum. That's why he didn't stop, reds and blues kept trading places. He must of been seriously disoriented.

  • and old people get better insurance rates than us younger people... well what does everyone else think?

  • biedny staruszek... : (

  • An brillant driver guy...

  • Train WIN

  • Why aren't the Level Crossing lights flashing when the train approaches?

  • @badbob1983

exactly, it wasnt his fault the lights werent working, if that was me there would be a big compo claim.

  • ONE LUCKY OLD FUKER

  • You see, that's why (certain) old people shouldn't drive...

  • Whats wrong with that dam train driver he should have stopped and given way ..............or do I have that wrong????

  • you are stupid

  • @petrutzgabriel THANK YOU Pet for those kind words I thought I was going senile ....stupid is sooooo much better XX

  • your welcome :)

  • Towards the end

"Answer that phone, price of tea" and mutters away incoherently...

  • i like the camelion paint

  • my dad drives um mabey a littel

  • that could have been much worse!!

  • Shame it wasn't. =(

  • hes just been hit by a train ....but decides i know i'll just check how the engine is.......ummmmmmmmmm its broken.

  • Totally premeditated. He was sick of it running like shit so he tried to kill it.

He gets out pops the hood and says why won't you die bitch.

  • check engine light

  • 0:36

Guy goes, "Hey, you know that blinking light right there idiot?..."

  • Holy crap how lucky was he... and he just goes and checks the engine.. the first thing i'd have done is gotten away from the rails.. lol

  • 0:28 "ooops...do di do di do....yup engine still there"

    :D

  • @MilitantOldLady i love yoyur comment thats some funny shit

  • It is surprising how tough the robin is!

  • hey they dont call it reliant for no reason

  • There are no gates and the lights do not appear to be flashing, in which case it is barely his fault. The Reliant Robin stands up very well to being hit by a train.

  • the lights are not flashing

  • This clip was featured on season 9 of TopGear

  • and it was an oap that got out tut tut

  • wow , that guy was lucky !

  • wtf yo the car keeeps turnin blue

  • Guess they don't make cars they used to...

If that was a Civic the whole front section would be crumpled... you'd be lucky to even have a hood... what more open it.

  • Well, yeah, but it's because modern cars are designed to crumple, so the force of the impact that would otherwise be destined for you is absorbed by the car.

Many years ago, (1920s or so) they used to safety test cars by rolling them down hills, and I mean sideways, not on their wheels. They assessed them by the damage that was done to them. Of course, if the car is as rigid as a block of concrete, you're the one going to be bouncing around like a pinball inside.

  • I love the nonchalant passer by pointing at the lights

  • etchy6 i only feel sorry for you havin to scream to the top of the hill lol prob wont make it!!!

  • im shocked. i thought the sheer power of the 5l V8 engine in the robin wud have powerhoused past the train...

  • proof that the driving test should be retaken every 10 years by people over 60...

  • its not funny, the driver of the car got 6 years for endangering the lives of the people on the train.

  • He gets out an checks the engine. HAHAHA!

  • i've just bought one of these cars... set me back £300... i'm fitting a roll cage then taking it to the hillclimb

    :D

    oh yeah, im 16...

    woop woop

am I the only one who feels sorry for this old bloke?

  • sounds fun u race 1 on a track make sure u dnt have hard shocks on it coz they just roll and make sure your rollcage is strong lol

  • i was just a bit concerned the .8L engine wouldn't make it up the hill

    :s

  • that could have been a lot worse than what it was

  • that train stopped fast

  • why wernt the lights flashing? it wasnt the old mans fault cos the lights were broke

  • He was fucking lucky. A fraction of a second earlier and he'd have been hit full on by the train. Even at the relatively slow speed (my guess is the crossing's near a station), the car would have been wrecked.

  • So he crashes into the train. He does nothing/doesn't react, before he checks his engine is ok, and THEN he thinks of going up to the train...!

    LOL!

  • lol Driver get out of his car and the first thing he's doing is to check his engine LFMAO

  • Train v reliant:

    Train wins

  • only the driver had his money down on the reliant!!!!

  • Notice how the pedestrian points to the lights then walks off?

  • wtf waz dat??!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OWNED! =)

  • hehe what a gentle crash..everything's so harmless in england...

  • it knocked the colours round

  • Only in Britain!lol.

I also love how the pedestrian walks past without giving a toss!

  • what a stupid dum prik. and they say young drivers are the worst ...

  • A car that can survive trains crash's and change color, I want one!

  • Don't be silly!

  • ME TOO!

  • What a stupid faggot!
